Imogen’s p.o.v 2 Weeks later***************
Entering the school I spotted Serene leaning against her lockers, playing or texting on her phone.
“Hey.” I greeted. With a big smile she gave me a hug and greeted me back.
“We have the spring dance coming up in a week.” She informed. Oh yeah, the spring dance. I’m not planning on going seeing as I don’t have a date to go with because Liam Davis is too busy flirting with other girls. Honestly many guys did come up to me asking me to be their date but I rejected them, in a nice way obviously, because I want Liam to ask me.
“That’s cool. Who you going with?” I asked.
“No one when the dance begins Colton is going to come get me and he’s taking me somewhere. I don’t know where though.” She replied still holding onto her smile. The past few weeks have been magical for her. My brother treats her like a princess. You see that’s how mates should be but unfortunately Liam doesn’t want to understand or take part in keeping a relationship with me, his mate.
“Who are you going to go with, is it Brad?” She questioned, sending me a wink later. Serene knew her brother’s deeds and how he rejected me more than twice. She also tried to explain Liam of his wrong doing but Liam doesn’t seem to care. Now when I think about it, I feel like Liam was lying to me about him loving me. Lies, all dirty lies.
“Never! Bradley is like my brother. I’m not going to the dance.”
“Why not?” She yelled.
“Because I don’t have a date and even if I did have one I still wouldn’t go because dances are not my thing.” I lied. I love dancing. I turned around opening up my locker but stopped when I felt my heart tug and my wolf howl in pleasure. I looked the other way and noticed Liam with a new girl walking into school. She was laughing at something Liam said. The worst part was that when he kissed her cheek, Liam glanced at me and winked. He bloody winked at me. That boy’s gut!
“So the dance is coming up and I was wondering if you would like to take me?” The girl who was with Liam asked sweetly.
“Sure! I’ll pick you up at 8.” He confirmed. I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces once again. Tears were daring to come out of my eyes but I kept blinking them in. I felt Serene put her hand on my shoulder, sending me a sympathetic look.
“Hey Ims!” I quickly turned around to see Zayn standing there, hands in his pockets, giving me a side-smile.
“I have to go now, I’ll see you later.” Serene said waving me goodbye. I went back to Zayn taking in his cologne. From the corner of my eyes I could see Liam staring at us but I really don’t give a shit.
“Hi Zayn.” I greeted back fighting to keep my smile.
“How was your weekend?” He asked casually coming up to me and slinging his muscular arm around my shoulder.
“Oh it was good actually but I’m still upset that you couldn’t make it.” Over the week-end Colton took my siblings and I to the beach and rented out a beach house. I invited Zayn and Serene Over but they had to go to a family pack meeting so they couldn’t make it.
“I’m sorry I really wanted to come but my dad said it was an important meeting.” He looked at me, his brown eyes shining. I remember once when he took me out to have ‘fun’ he accidently sprayed perfume in his eyes and started screaming like a girl. I should’ve been worried but I was laughing so hard. Later we went to the pharmacist and they gave him some eyes wash. A few hours later his eyes were back to normal. His definition of ‘fun’ was to go to the perfume shop and spray perfume on everyone without them knowing and when he was about to do it on some old lady, he forgot he was holding it the wrong way and that’s how the perfume went inside his eyes.
