Scott's eyes filled with fear. This couldn't be Vincent...Vince was a naga. It's kinda hard to magically turn human all of the sudden. Scott rolled his eyes, doubt taking over, confidence washing over him.
" Sure. Say what you will about me, you don't know a damn thing. And I never even agreed to a relationship with him. Clingy little bastard he was," Scott smiled and took a sip of his drink. "But you wouldn't know. I assume you're just a passing traveler, or maybe even a hunter-"
"There is no excuse for what you did to him. Cut the act out, Scott. I know that inside, you're guilty. You know what you did to him. You know how badly you hurt him. Can you just imagine, how heartbroken he was to find out that you just threw him away?"
The bartender turned to Scott, looking at him with disgust. "You cheating bastard!" She pointed at the door. "Out!"
Scott hesitated before getting up. He glared at the man before leaving. As he got outside, the air seemed colder than usual. Scott shivered, his breath turning into vapor clouds. Then, he heard someone behind him.
"Oh, Scotty..."
Scott gritted his teeth. "Don't call me that, Vince," He gave into his doubts. Maybe the man somehow was Vincent. Maybe this was just some dream or hallucination. Scott turned around, surprised to see someone other than Vincent.
He was a boy, rather than a man. His hands were in his pockets, his messy blonde hair streaked with blood. He had bright golden eyes, eyes that somehow were familiar to Scott. The boy looked to be about thirteen years old, yet something was different about him. Something wasn't right.
The boy grinned. His image flickered. He stepped forward. Then Scott saw it-those eyes. They weren't alive.
Scott backed up until his back hit the wall. His body was trembling. Was it real? Is this really a ghost, Or just a dream?
" I need a favor from you," The young spirit said softly. " I'm begging you. You're the only one who can help me."
Was there even any other options? No. It was agree to the kid or suffer. Who knows what the kid could do. So Scott did what he had to.
--
"He's alive, at least."
A voice interrupted his slumber. The sound of birds and the smell of flowers overwhelmed the brunette's senses. As he opened his eyes, he saw something looming above him. It appeared to be a child, around twelve years old, with messy auburn hair covering his eyes. Scott blinked. What the hell?
"Tsk. I was hoping to get a good meal," Another voice spoke, this one deep and gruff. Scott tilted his head towards the voice, realizing the he was lying in a grassy area. He saw a large grey mass nearby. He quickly sat up, accidentally knocking foreheads with the boy. "D-dragon!" Scott cried out, holding his head and trying to scramble to his feet.
"C-calm down! Please!" The boy grabbed Scott, pulling him down. Then, Scott realized that he wasn't a boy at all. Half of his body was human, the other half...
"You're a goat?!" Scott pushed him away, trying to process everything. Long story short, he came up with:
I've been kidnapped by a bunch of monsters.
"He isn't a goat. I know, a Satyr and a Dragon is an unlikely couple..." The grey mass moved, and yes, it was a dragon.
"How did I..." Scott was terrified. He didn't remember anything. Anything since...
"You had your vessel stolen. That kid is still probably inside you," The dragon said as it shook off the dust from laying in the dirt. It turned, walking over to the terrified messenger before plopping it's large body down in front of him. "And we- Jeremy and I, Micheal, happen to be the only creatures who can protect you from spirits like him."

"Thanks again. And I'm sorry for all the trouble, Gracie." Vincent said, nearly falling on his face as he stepped onto the porch. Dammit, why are human bodies so complicated? He'd never get used to them. She reached out, grabbing his arm and preventing him from falling.
Just as he looked back at her, she slammed him against the wall, kissing him suddenly. He was surprised at first, but soon he relaxed, closing his eyes and allowing it. It was the least he could do, considering everything she'd done for him. Soon enough, she parted the kiss, gazing into his silver eyes.
"You know I've always been here, yet, you're still so hell bent on that guy that gave you a teddy bear when you were little." She backed up a step, yet Vince just stood there. He smiled a little, despite the inner pain that arose, just from talking about Scott.
"I guess I'm just persistent," He laughed nervously, trying to hide the emotions going through him. Pain, heartbreak, jealousy....perhaps even still love.
"Cut the crap. You love him because he reminds you of your little brother, even though he's older than you. Your brother is long dead, Vincent. And Scott doesn't love you." The words came out worse than she intended. So bitter, so spiteful...
The tears made his eyes sparkle like silver kaleidoscopes. His breathing hitched. What she said was true...maybe Scott did remind him of his little brother. But his brother was dead, he was killed the day that he was captured, all those years ago.
"Vince-!" She yelled as he turned, running out into the yard in front of the cabin. Despite being unfamiliar with human legs, he sure as hell could run. He ran off into the trees and she lost sight of him. He kept running, knowing what he was going to do.
He was going to do something he should've done a long, long time ago.
