I know everyone is gong to be like: "GALAXY YOU HYPOCRITE" in a few seconds. Whatever. I finally got the motive and the inspiration to continue this. Don't expect me to always do this when I discontinue a story. There's a story I really like, and it inspired this, also I kinda feel bad because I left the story without ya'll getting any payphone floof. So there'll be a few more chapters, probably three or four. This chapter will be quite short.
The song in the beginning is Iris by Goo Goo Dolls, I was listening to the Sleeping With Sirens cover.
Anyways, enjoy!
Feels warning I guess? It's short because I got really lazy
---
I'm so sorry.
I should've been better.
I should've made you happy.
You were right to hate me.
The sunlight peeked through the trees, warming the small area. Birds sang, bugs buzzed, and animals scurried from brush to brush. An array of colors reflected off of the violet scales of the naga lying in a tree. His eyes were closed, his breathing steady but shallow. Slowly, his eyes opened, staring blankly at the forest scenery.
The same dream had plagued him yet again. It hurt worse than any wounds he felt.
"And...I'd give up forever to touch you..." The melody filled the woods, the sound like sweet honey. " 'Cause I know that you feel me somehow..."
Today was the day. The day that he'd finally give it up. There wasn't a reason to keep trying; Scott hated him. Vince just made peace with that fact- there wasn't a way to change it.
"You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be..." He stirred a little, getting ready to get down from where he'd slept. He was so tired and in so much pain from running that he climbed up a tree and slept in it. The spell or whatever from Grace had worn off, and he was back to his normal form overnight. Cautiously, he slid down from the tree.
"And I don't wanna go home right now..." Vince sang softly, wincing as he got his bearings. He knew where he was going, even though it had been nearly ten years. And so he began the one-way trip.
The cobblestone streets were just as he remembered them. It was late evening, the shadows of the houses casted over the town. He looked around, moving slowly as to not disturb anyone.
"And all I can taste is this moment...." His voice was low and quiet. It didn't take long for him to hear what he expected.
A child cried, "Monster!"
It didn't take long to hear a gunshot.
Then another.
And everything went black.
