[I'm sorry, I got really lazy with this one. Its going to be pretty short and shitty, fyi.]
~10 Years Later~
Scott smiled, walking up the path. He'd come so far, his father would be proud. Yes, he was but a simple messenger, but it also gave him a chance to explore. To adventure. To get out and see the world on his own.
He walked down the forested dirt path, humming to himself. He looked up ad the azure colored sky and smiled. Summer was here, September chill gone, December snow melted, Spring flowers were replaced with the summer's array of blossoms. Scott was glad, summer was a nice time to travel. He could walk day and night, since it was warm enough. He sat down on a rock, then smiled and pulled out the map from his backpack.
"Just a bit farther. I'll take a shortcut through the west cave...then I'll reach the village by nightfall." He nodded in satisfaction before folding the map back up and putting it back in his pack. He got back up, singing to no one but the birds, ah it was such a perfect day...
"Its getting late, and I, cannot seem to find my way home tonight~" He took a few steps forward, before increasing slightly in volume, since nobody was around.
"Feels like I am falling down a rabbit hole,
Falling for forever,
Wonderfully wandering alone~!"
Scott finally got to the once place he wanted to stop, a cliff's edge. It seemed like he stood alone, at the edge of the world. He smiled, picking up the song again, hearing his voice echo.
"What would my head be like?
If not for my shoulders or without your smile?
May it follow you forever,
May it never leave you to sleep in the stone,
May we stay lost on our way home?"
When he was satisfied with the view, he turned around and began to walk back to the path. He heard some shuffling in the leaves, but it was probably just a wild rabbit. (You don't know how much effort it took to resist a pokemon reference)
Scott sighed and grabbed his pack, almost to the trail. The sun was going down rapidly, it was nearly dark. He heard the shuffling once again, this time it was closer. It sounded like a large animal, possibly a bear...it couldn't be some sort of creature...like a dragon? Or a saytr? Scott shook the thought and concentrated on getting to the path.
He felt something brush against his leg, causing him to stop dead in his tracks. He glanced around, squinting in the darkness. Scott growled slightly, taking a defensive stance. This wasn't just a small rabbit...
Something suddenly wrapped around Scott's ankle, and then his world turned upside down. It seemed that the treetops became the ground, and the dirt path was the new sky. He couldn't see anything in front of him, so he tried to wiggle out of the creature's grasp. Suddenly he was turned around, and he was staring into those pure white eyes and purple hair once more.
Scott gasped, his body tensing with fear. He didn't remember the naga well, but he remembered a few things. He closed his eyes tightly as the hood/cloak he wore fell onto the ground.
The naga hissed, then suddenly fell silent. Scott reluctantly opened his eyes, then suddenly he was dropped to the ground. Scott growled in frustration as he ended up with a mouthfull of dirt. After he managed to spit out all the dirt, he looked up at Vince.
"S-scott...?" Vincent asked, staring at him. Scott hesitated, then nodded. Suddenly Vince scooped him up in his arms, hugging him tightly. Scott yelped in surprise, unsure of what to do. Vince smiled, nuzzling him.
"I thought- I thought I had hurt you Scott....I'm so sorry...Just...Don't leave me again."
