A/N: More Spoilers! On the next chapter, I PROMISE that there's no more. The only difference is Frisk talking. I know Asriel can't come back (because he can't maintain his normal form and turn back into a flower) but I just want him to. It's more like a headcanon, okay? It's all in my head. Every character from Undertale enjoys the Overworld, along with those who ruined everything, such as Asriel and Chara.

At their new home, here they are on the Surface. But wait...Frisk feels like someone is missing. They went back to the underground for a long walk, as Papyrus said to him one day, "Frisk, you need a walk. Hiking is good for your bones!" and Frisk will remember that.
After a long hour of walk, Frisk finally found Asriel, in front of a small area of golden flowers. He's just staring at them, until Frisk tapped him on the shoulder.
"Hey." Frisk said. Asriel turns around.
"Don't worry about me." He said. "Someone has to take care of these flowers." He points at the golden flowers. After that, he turns around and looks at them again, thinking about what he has done. "Hey Asriel, I need to tell you-" Asriel cuts Frisk off.
"Frisk, leave me alone." He said with a sad tone. "I can't come back. I just can't, OK?" He covers his face filling with tears.

"Yes you can, Asriel. It's not your fault..." Frisk said.
"Yes it is, Frisk. I don't wanna break their hearts all over again." Asriel said. "It's better if they never see me." He looks down.
"Yeah but... I can help you friend them again. They will forgive you." Frisk said with a wise attitude.

"...Why are you still here?" Asriel sniffs, thinking what Frisk says is false. "Are you trying to keep me company?" He looks up a little bit.
"Yep. I want you to join me." Frisk responds and held out their hand.
"Frisk..." Asriel said when he held his hand.  "..." He suddenly thought of something when he did. "Hey...let me ask you a question." He said, now lit up. "Frisk..." Asriel looks to his left then back at them. "Why did you come here?" He asks.
"To let you be on the Surface." Frisk answers. Asriel does a 'wut now' look.
"But...everyone knows the legend...right?" He said. "Travellers who climb to Mt. Ebott are said to disappear." He states. Then he wonders about something and asks Frisk another question. "gasp, ...Frisk...why would you ever climb a mountain like that?" His face turns shock.
"To prove if it's true..." Frisk whistles.
"Was it foolishness? Was it fate?" Asriel guesses. Then he looks down again with tears about to flow again. "Or was it...because you...? He cries. Asriel is thankful. "Well..." He sniffs. "Only you know the answer, don't you...?" He said with his voice cracking.

"I know why Chara climbed the mountain..." He looks up to tell Frisk something about the legend. "It wasn't for a very happy reason." He said, head down and shrugging. "Chara hated humanity." He sighs. Frisk puts their hand to heart. "Why they did, they never talk about it." He continues. "But they felt very strongly about that." Asriel's voice cracks again. He looks up again with tears and a sad face. "Frisk...you really ARE different from Chara." Frisk smiles widely.

"In fact, though you have similar, uh, fashion choices..." Asriel does the "" with his goat hands when he said "fashion choices". "I don't know why I ever acted like you were the same person." He said. "Maybe...the truth is..." Asriel looks down again.
Frisk is thinking if Asriel has something in his eye. "Chara wasn't really the greatest person." Asriel sniffs, voice cracking the third time. But then he looks up, wiping his tears away for no more crying and is happy.
"While, Frisk..." He said with his normal voice. "You're the type of friend I wish I always had...So maybe I was projecting a little bit..." He detaches his hand from Frisk to scratch the back of his head.
"Let's be honest...I did some weird stuff as a flower." He laughs softly. Then, another little feel on him. Except, no more tears.

"There's one last thing I need to tell you." He said. Frisk is waiting for them to talk. Asriel turns to his right.
"Frisk...while Chara and I combined our SOULs together..." He began to talk about something to do with the No Mercy Run. "The control over our body was actually split between us. They were the one who picked up their empty body. And then, when we got to their village..." Well what do you know, Asriel can't handle his feelings. First, happy, second, sad, third, anxious, fourth, happy, and fifth, sad. He's having a wild ride on his emotions.
"They were the one who wanted to..." Asriel's voice trails off, hugging Frisk with tears. Frisk pats him. "I know how you feel, Asriel." Frisk answers finally.
"...To use our full power..." Asriel finishes his sentence. "I was the one who resisted, and then..." He sniffs. "Well, because of me...that's how I ended up as a flower..." He detaches the hug and stands up. Suddenly, he realized what he has done.
"Frisk...This whole time, I blamed myself for that decision." His eyes are now wide open, with tears about to dry.
"That's why I adopted that horrible view of the world." He states Flowey's quote with a quivering voice."Kill or be killed."

"But now...after meeting you..." Frisk raises his hand.
"Yes? What do you think now?" They said.
"Frisk, I don't regret that decision anymore." Asriel smiles. Then he puts more boldness into his smile, so it's more confident to do so. "I did the right thing."
"If I killed those humans..." Frisk starts to gasp when he said that. But instead of saying that he will be a GOD, he said, "We would have had to wage war against all of humanity. And in the end, everyone went free, right? ..." He closes his eyes with thought.
"I still feel kind of sad knowing how long it took...so maybe it was a perfect decision." He chuckles. "But you can't regret hard choices your whole life, right?"
This made Frisk realize that Asriel will go with him. But that's kind of not true.
"Well, not that I have much of a life left. "But that's besides the point." Frisk is now happy. "So...wanna go to our new home?" Frisk held out their hand again. Asriel holds on.
"Frisk...thank you for listening to me. You should really go be with your friends now, OK?" He said with a smile. Then he closes his eyes, still holding on.
"Oh, and, uh, please...if you see me in the future, don't think about it as me, OK? I just want you to remember me like this. Someone that was your friend for a little while." He detaches.
"C'mon Asriel, I'll help you friend them again, we'll be a family. I'm staying with your mom and your dad. I'm gonna be brothers with you. I'm not going to the Surface if your like this." Frisk finally speaks a long persuasive sentence, putting his hand down.
"Frisk...be careful on the outside world, OK? Despite what everyone thinks, it's not as nice as it is here." Asriel warns him with gentle tone. "There are a lot of Floweys out there."
Frisk thinks about it and swipes that off.
"And not everything can be resolved by just being nice." Asriel looks straight at him with promising eyes. "Frisk...don't kill, and don't be killed, alright?" Frisk nods. They will always do mercy.
"That's the best you can strive for, OK? See you..." Asriel finishes his lament and stares at the golden flowers again.
"No, Asriel...Trust me. I will be your best friend. We can go to our mother's school together, hang out with friends and..." Frisk taps on him again.
Asriel turns around with no stress. "Frisk...don't you have anything  better to do?" Asriel laughs.

PLOT TWIST, SPOILERS ARE OVER! YOU MAY UNCOVER YOUR EYES! WE ARE BACK TO THE BOOK!

Then, Frisk gets impatient. Instantly, Frisk grabs Asriel by the hand.
"Frisk...please..." Asriel said.
"Snap it off! You know what? From what I just told you, it WILL work! I promise, now let's go!" Frisk suddenly jumps high from the fall, all the way to the opening of the hole of Mt. Ebott.
"Like what Sans says, there's always a shortcut." Frisk proudly says. Asriel complains with tears.

Now the REAL adventures are about to begin.
