The Wolf Within...

Chapter 6

 Two weeks has gone by since meeting Riley, not much has changed really. I’ve gotten to know most of the pack, but I still haven’t had a proper greeting. Riley said that once I officially join the pack that’s when the whole ceremony of me meeting the pack will start.

 I and Riley have been alright, we’ve been on another date since our last one and I can honestly say that it was really cool, we went to the zoo, and I know what you’re thinking: ‘the zoo?’ But I told him I haven’t went to the zoo since my parents’ death so instead he took me on a date there and after we went to have dinner at a really nice restaurant. We’ve both stayed true to our words and were both trying the whole “mate” thing. He hasn’t marked me yet nor has he claimed me, were not ready for that and we both know it.

 I and Alice have become bestfriends, at least to say, if I ever need anything I’d always go to her and she’d do the same. Chris is like an older brother that I’ve always wanted, taking on the role. Everyone else in the pack has warmed up to me and I’m thankfully coming out of my shell.

I was in heat all last week and I’m telling you its pure torture, I’m horny as hell and it doesn’t help that Riley’s is HOT! And what makes it worse is that all unmated male wolves have been giving me the eye.

Today is finally the day I turn 18, I have been waiting for this day for lord knows how long. I was actually thinking that it would be a fun day for me, but boy was I wrong. I’ve got a bloody fever. Its not even time for me to get up for school and I’m already feeling shitty.

“Morning beautiful, happy birthday.” Riley’s voice comes from the other side of the bed.

“There’s nothing happy about it.” I grunted, turning around so I’m facing him.

“Why, what’s the matter?” he asked concerned.

“I’m not feeling well at all, I’ve got a really bad headache and my body is sore, like I’ve done some deathly workout.”

His hand touched my forehead. “Yeah you’ve got a temperature. I want you to stay in bed alright. Don’t worry about school; I’ll call in sick for you. Now you go back to sleep while I go and get you some breakfast.” Kissing my forehead, he left going down stairs.

Riley P.O.V.

These past two weeks with Carter has been absolute bliss. I've been trying really hard with the “mate” thing and thankfully we’ve both been true to our words and have been trying. 

‘My mate’, I love how it sounds, she really is something special. I never actually thought that I'd ever find my mate as most people find them during the age of 16 - 18 while I had found Carter at the age of 22. She’s beautiful to say the least, smart funny and a hell load of fun.

The worst thing about everything since I've met Carter was when she had gone into heat. She would wear more skin exposing clothing as she was too hot and in more ways than one. All my wolf and I want is to just mark and claim her already but I wouldn't force her into it but I'm not actually sure how much my wolf can actually take.
