-Mark's POV-
If I described his house in one word, it would be cozy. Artsy paintings hung on the walls and kept with the earthy colors of the home. On every couch and chair draped a blanket that looked so soft, you could sink into it.
"Hello Sean!"
A slender woman with brown hair (who I presumed was his mother) appeared from the staircase ahead of us, smiling. She looked surprised when she first saw me.
"And you are...?"
"This is Mark,m-my friend."
I looked over at him, and held in my laughter.
"Oh, I see! I'll let you boys get to it, dinner will be ready at 6."
She was gone as quickly as she came, heading back up the stairs and leaving us alone.
"Let's go to my room."
He directed me through the living room and down a hallway until we got to him bedroom.
It was simpler than the other rooms, only containing a desk, closet, bed, and mirror. I did notice a brand new PS4 though, which caught my attention.
I sat down on his bed and motioned for him to sit next to me.
"It's nice to be alone, " Jack said.
"I just like being alone with you."
I put my arm around his waist and gently kissed his cheek.
"Oh, I bet you say that to all the boys," He joked and leaned on me.
"You're the first I've said it to, but it's working so I should start doing that right?
"Not while I'm here."
I layed us both on the bed, an held onto him.
"You're too adorable for me,you know that?"
Jack turned to face me and smiled.
I wrapped him even tighter in my embrace, taking advantage of every moment we had together.
"What are we going to do?" his smile had faded a little.
"I don't know," I cupped his face in my hand before continuing on. "But I do know that I would absolutely love, to have you as my boyfriend."
He looked surprised, but nodded vigorously after a moment.
"Yes, I would love that too."
Its weird to feel like this about someone. I'm not saying I didn't like it though, because I definitely did.
This time I wasn't the one to initiate the kiss, although I didn't resist when his shaky lips met mine.
The kiss was sweet and simple, nothing that could escalate to anything else, just a gesture of true affection.
It ended sooner than I preferred, he jerked away from me suddenly.
"I thought I heard something." Jack whispered apologetically.
I nodded slightly, smiling as I did so.
He relaxed back into my arms, filling the empty space that had been left there. He reached down from the bed and pulled his backpack close to him. His hand reappeared from the inside of it with the grey beanie I had given him.
Jack tried his best to put it on properly but failed.
"You dork, it goes on like this, " I giggled and adjusted it to fit.
I was happy with my end result, simply smiling because he was smiling. What would I give to do this every day....-Sean's POV-
Happy was an understatement. I was ecstatic, to be here with him. The familiar sound of the front door opening signaled that my father was home. Hopefully they were just as pleased with Mark as I was.
I gently shook Mark awake-as he had fallen asleep about 30 minutes ago-and his eyes fluttered open, taking a second to remember the strange surroundings of my house.
"My father's home."
We both sat up on the edge of the bed and put some distance between us. Just in case someone walked in. It's like that saying, better to be safe than sorry.
I'm glad we had separated because moments after the front door had opened, so had mine. Without a knock my father walked into my room. He made a strange face at Mark.
"I'm assuming you're Mark then?"
He nodded, and I gripped the blanket on my bed tightly. Typical nervous me.
"I see. Nice to meet you," His gaze redirected to me. "Dinner's ready in half an hour."
I acknowledged the dinner time, and he left. My father is my own parent, but someone as built as him never failed to slightly intimidate me. It was obvious that I had gotten my mother's slender, lanky figure. I had little resemblance to my muscular, blonde haired dad.
As if on que, Mark pointed out, "I definitely see which one of them you take after most."
I rolled my eyes playfully, looking over at him. He looked back, large tufts of pink hair sticking out from under his own hat.
"So why did you dye it pink?"
He shrugged, "I think it looks great-" Mark's eyes lit up, and his hand tore off my hat. "YOU SHOULD DYE YOURS TOO."
"I-"
His fingers ran through my hair, scoping it out from every angle.
"Oh you would look so-"
I loved to see him so excited and I was dying to hear his next words but it was my turn to interrupt. "Ahem!" I moved my arm in a circle motion. "We aren't the only ones here."
He apologized, and kept talking in a lower tone.
"Maybe you could get.. Blue? Purple? No no, green. You would look even hotter, Jack."
Never in the entirety of my existence had I ever been called hot. Cute, sure. But never hot. Mark was full of surprises, wasn't he?
"H-hot?" I tugged at the neck of my shirt nervously and tried to hide my embarrassment.
He of course went on like it was nothing, like he usually did. I swear, one day I'll make him "loose his cool" just like he does to me (all the time).
"You don't think you're hot, huh? How have you avoided cameras and mirrors all your life?" And who could forget the signature smile he always gave me.
How could someone make me get so easily flustered? I can't go a single day around Mark without my face getting sunburnt red. And he loved every minute of it.
"Shut up...,"I murmured and tried to cover my face with my hands.
"You know you love it though," Mark teased.
I peeked out from behind my fingers and smirked at him, "I don't think I'm the only one who enjoys it."
"Guilty."
He put his hands up and smiled. I figured that he was probably bored so I got off of the bed and turned on my brand new PS4.
"Video Games?" I asked, grabbing a few discs and showing them to him.
"Video Games." He grabbed a controller and I slid in a random Call of Duty game (what did you expect?).
It started, and we chose to be on different teams. I don't think he knew yet, but I was the master when it came to first person shooters.
"Prepare to be annihilated, Mark, " I smirked over at him.
He flexed in response. "Come at me scrublord, I'm ripped." (AN:Yes, I had to add that.)
Let the games begin.---
Yikes, I've really been slacking on updating, huh?
I got distracted and binge watched Rick and Morty again.
Oh and I watched Friends again too. Sorry about that, I'm going to try hard to stay on some sort of schedule.
Anyway, I hope you liked this chapter and I will see you in the next update! Buh-bye!
(Also, if you ever notice a typo, get confused, or have suggestions feel free to let me know, thank you!)
