Brantley's Pov

I was sitting outside drinking my coffee and smoking a cigarette. I know what you our thinking, why smoke outside. I don't want my wife and kids to be around it. I'm the one with that habit not them. Well, Billy does, but don't tell me wife about that one. 

 I still can't believe what a past couple of day have been. I knew I needed to take care of my self better, but not like this? I mean, I still have 2 kids in school that needs me.  I want to be there when Brennan wins his first racing car. I want to walk my princess down the aisle to get married. I have 4 grand kids I want to see grow up. I know, I may not go to church ever day, but I know who God is an I do talk to him on a day to day basic. I'm not ready to leave my family. I got up and saw the love of my life in the kitchen crying again. I still can't believe she is still sexy and beautiful as the day I saw her sitting on her old deck reading a book. 

I'm not going to die. Not yet. I still have a lot of good years to live. I walked in to the house and looked at Leigh Ann. Thank God Brennan and Lila are not here. They went with Billy and Sophie last night and Mama Lisa was at patty's for Bingo night. 

" Morning sexy?" I said to her. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her neck. 

" Hi, darling. Did you sleep good." Leigh Ann asked me. 

" Yes I did. I know you was up all night." I told her. Leigh Ann has been crying for the last 2 days now. Ever since I got the news from the doctor's. 

" I'm sorry, I'll sleep on the couch tonight?" Baby Girl told me. I turned her over to look at me. 

" Listen to me woman, you will not be sleeping on that damn couch at all. We will get through this?" I told her. 

" Brantley, I almost lost you? I can't loose you?" Baby Girl said to me. I gave her a hug and a kiss on the lips. 

" Come on let's go to bed. We still have another hour before all the kids will be here?" I told Baby Girl. Leigh Ann hit me. 

" We will not be having sex not until I know you will be better?" Baby Girl said to me. 

" Come on, I would die a happy man?" I told her. Leigh Ann looked at me and walked away from me. 

" How could you say that Brantley Keith! I can't loose you. I won't be able to go on with out you? You are my everything Brantley. If I loose you I- I - I don't know what I would do sweet heart?" Baby Girl told me. I walked over to her. 

" That's why I need to tell the kids today? I know you don't want to hear it, but I need them to know if something does happened to me, I want them to be okay?" I told her. 

" Dad what's going on?" I looked up and saw Billy and Lila. They weren't suppose to be here until noon. We want to tell our kids first and then have Sophie and Shiloh an  there kids come in for dinner tonight, so we could all talk about this?

" Come on let's sit down." I said. Baby Girl, Billy and Lila and I all sat down. 

" What's going on daddy?" My only daughter asked me. 

" Well, I've been going to see the doctor more and they found some---" I was cut off when my 2 other son's walked in. 

" Good, now that you all our here I can tell you at the same time?" I said to kids. 

" Dad what's going on?" Brennan asked me. 

" Sit down son?" I said to them. I picked up the love of my life and sat her on my lap.
