Benny's Pov

I was giving Tyler a bath before Rev. Johnson and his family get here. After Tyler and I got home I told mama and dad about what happened at the park and I'm not taking no chances with Patrick saying he's my son's father. He's the best thing that I have and no one is going to take him away from me. I was getting him dressed in the bath room when Brennan said they are here. I tried to hurry up, but all Tyler wanted to do is play with his new guitar some more. I told him we will play with it later. 

As we was walking down to the kitchen I smell what mama made. She made her home made pot roast, carrots, taters, and cabbage. Mama also made her salad as well. Plus she made a key lime pie after words. If I ever get married I want to make sure my wife know's how to cook. I can't do none of that. Poor Tyler will be eating cold pizza. 

When we got there Brennan was looking at Rev. Johnson's only daughter Rydel. Now Rydel is a shy young lady. She's on the short side. I mean my mama is taller then her and mama is only 5'0 even. Rydel is only like 4'10. But she wears high heels that are about 4 inches to make her taller. 

" Ben how are you son?" Rev. Jonson asked me. I shook his hand. 

" Hello sir. I'm doing good? How are you?" I asked him. 

" Good now, that I get a real dinner." Rev. Johnson told us. 

" Daniel I feed you. Don't be telling people that?" Lilly (Rev. Johnson) wife said to him. 

" Oh, I know what you mean Daniel, my little lady don't feed me either some nights?" Dad said. 

" Okay Brantley, for that you are doing the dishes tonight?" Mama said to dad. 

" Nope. We have all of these kids here, they can do it?" Dad said. 

" Babe, why did we only have 1. We should have 4 or 5 kids, like they do." Rev. Johnson said to Lilly. Lilly looked up at her husband. 

" Do you want more kids. I mean our only daughter is 15, she will be out of the house soon, we will have that big place all to our selves, unless you want another baby?" Lilly said to Daniel. 

" Sorry honey, you will be an only child for us." Daniel said to him daughter. Rydel smiled at him. Rev. Johnson has been our minster for the last 10 years, and in those 10 years I think I might have hear Rydel say about 5 words all together. She is my sister's best friend. 

" If you want another one you can have one of mine. I got 3." Billy said to him. 

" Nice try there Billy James. I'll keep the girls and you can move into there place." Sophie said to her hubby. 

" Can't." Billy said. We all looked at him. 

" Why not?" Sophie said. 

" Well, I like to eat and you can cook. And Daniel just said that Ms. Lilly don't cook. I got lucky with you. You cook, clean and take care of my 3 daughters." Billy said. We all was laughing. 

" Yes I'm your only maid right big boy." Sophie said. 

" But you are a hot maid. I love you." Billy said to Sophie. 

" Get off of me. You are sleeping on the floor tonight." Sophie said. 

" We will see about that woman." Billy said walking over to the bath room. I'm glad Billy found some one like Sophie to spend the rest of his life with. We haven't seen or heard from Eve in almost 6 years now. Thank God for that?

" Just like his father I see." Daniel said. 

" You have no Idea Daniel." Sophie said. We all walked over to the table and sat down. Rev. Johnson said the pray and we all started to eat. I was all but done, when Tyler walked over to me. 

" Daddy. I want pie now." Tyler told me. I picked him up. 

" Not yet buddy, we have to wait until everyone is done eating first okay son." I told him. 

" Okay daddy." Tyler said to me. Putting his head on my chest. 

" I see he's gotten closer to you Ben." Daniel told me. 

" Yeah he has. I'm glad too. He's my best friend." I told him. 

" Shy is mine." Tyler told me. I looked down at him. 

" Shy as in Shiloh is your best friend." I asked him. 

" Yep. She's funny daddy." Tyler told me. 

" She is something?" I said to him. We all talked for a while before mama and Lily was cleaning the table off. Tyler, Ariel and Addison was playing together. Brennan, Billy and Sophie was talking to Lila and Rydel. Dad and Daniel went outside to talk. I was in the kitchen texting Shiloh. She was working tonight at the hospital.  I asked her if she wanted to have dinner with me and Tyler tomorrow night. 

" Honey go tell everyone that we are having pie now." Mama told me. I got up and told every one. I was looking for Brennan who was out in the shed working on his bike. 

" Dude, mama said we are having pie now?" I told him. Brennan looked at me. 

" I don't care." He told me. 

" What's going on?" I asked him. 

" Nothing? You wouldn't understand?" Brennan told me walking back to the house. I looked over and saw Lila. I walked over to him. 

" Do you know what's going on with him?" I asked her. 

" It's Rydel." Lila told me. 

" Rydel?" I asked her. 

" You know they like each other, but he is to shy to say anything about it?" Lila told me. 

" Why is he to shy to say something?" I asked him. 

" He thinks he's to old for her? He's way to tall for her? She's shy and only talks to me in school? She get's picked on all the time?" Lila told me. I don't know what to say?

" Should we talk to him about it?" I asked her. Lila gave me a sad smile.

" I don't know. I mean Rydel wants to be with him so bad, but I don't know how he feels about it?" Lila told me. 

" Are you busy this coming Friday" I asked her. 

" No, why?" Lila asked me. 

" I have a plan? But I'm going to need everyone's help? Come on let's go inside and get some of mama's pie, before my 5 year old son eats it all up?" I said to Lila. We walked in the house. I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I think I can help Brennan out a little bit?
