Thalia's POV
As lieutenant, I assign every new Hunter a mentor- an experienced Hunter to teach them how things are done for the first year or so that they are in our company. I have trained in only two Hunters so far, yet I take in Reyna to personally train. I tell the other Hunters that my purpose is because she is so experienced that none of the other Hunters would have anything to teach her. They don't need to know my true reasoning, which is that I want to be able to spend as much time as possible with Reyna. I tried telling myself at first that I just admired Reyna and liked her as a friend and comrade, but I gave up on that. I know that in attracted to her, but I have to keep it hidden. True, there are no rules about being in relationships with other Hunters, but it is just assumed. Today I'll start training Reyna basic hand to hand combat, which is pointless cuz she already knows everything there is to know about it. Reyna is the first Hunter we've had join in a long time. It's pretty much pointless to try training her but I'm probably better at combat than her anyway so why not. I lead her to an open grassy clearing where we usually hold archery practice- I have a feeling we'll need all the room. I jog ahead of Reyna and she gets on my nerves by easily following barely a step behind me with ease. Why does she have to be so damn perfect?
