Reyna's POV
My voice sounds a lot stronger than I feel when I announce my wish to Thalia. Her eyebrows shoot up and I glare at her. I don't have time for her games- I'm serious about this. "Okay," she says, trying to be serious. "I understand that you want to spend all of eternity with me." I try to will myself but to blush but it happens anyway. "Okay, well, come with me and I'll initiate you," Thalia says, walking down the narrow, dark dirt path and gesturing for me to follow her. I will my feet to be swift as I step over tree roots and dips that I didn't even know were there. Finally Thalia brings me into a large cheating, where the rest of the Hunters sit, waiting for me. "Reyna," one says, standing. "I'm sure you do not remember me, but I fought for you in San Juan. My name is Grace." I nod at Grace respectfully. I do not remember her, but I know I ought to, if she was one who fought the giant for my life. "Hunters, let us welcome Reyna Avila Ramirez-arellano, the newest Hunter of Artemis," Thalia shouts, which is followed by several cheers from other Hunters. I repeat after Thalia for the pledge to Artemis and then it's done. I am immoral, fighting by Thalia's side as well as the other Hunters until I am killed in combat. As the rest of the Hunters settle down to rest, Thalia throws an arm over my shoulder. "This is gonna be fun."
