Thalia's POV
When Reyna and I get back to the campfire, I shot down next to Artemis, watching Reyna. I feel bad about taking about her family. I know that she has some bad history, but I never knew she'd react like that. Artemis notices me watching her. "How is the Roman?" She asks. "Hasn't changed a bit, lady Artemis," I mutter, half-smiling. Reyna does still have the same spunk and Roman arrogance. The spunk part, I understand. But hey arrogance is a little irritating. And when I say a little, I mean a lot. She thinks that she's so great just because she was a praetor. So what- Frank Zhang is a praetor now. They're practically giving the job to anyone. "Reyna will need more hand-to-hand training. She needs to realize that she is not the highest in rank anymore. Her arrogance is something she'll have to abandon," I mutter, half talking to Artemis but mostly just to myself. "Do not look past your own faults, Thalia Grace," Artemis warns. "I know," I say, trying not to sigh in exasperation. I get up and walk toward my tent, grabbing the iPod I stole out of it. I put in the earbuds and tune out the quiet charter of the rest of the Hunters. Normally I'm one of the loudest ones, but I'm not up to conversation right now. I just need to think. Reyna's being here complicates things. A lot. Before, I could simply ignore my feelings. I never had to see her so it wasn't hard. But now I'll see her all day, every day. If this aching feeling in my chest doesn't go away, I don't know what I'll do.
