A week passed and I still had no clue what to do. Hayley and I were watching tv when I finally turned to her. I quietly asked, “How should I tell Tyson?” I bit my lip and waited.
She thought for a few minutes and shrugged with a sigh, “I’m not sure Charlie, I would say tell him in person, but if you waited then it would be too late. Maybe call him and tell him that you need to talk and he should be alone when you do. Then tell him you’re pregnant and he’s the father.” She raised her eyebrow for my response.
I rolled my eyes at her and smiled, “Thanks for reminding me Hayley. I guess that’ll work, have you told John yet?”
“I was going to wait to tell him after you told Tyson. So John wouldn’t let it slip out thinking Tyson knew.” She told me. She picked up my cellphone, handed it to me, and turned off the television. “Call and tell him.” She ordered.
“Right now?” I asked shocked. She took back the phone and clicked to call Tyson.
“Hey, hold on a second and here’s Charlie.” She put the phone to my ear.
I grabbed it and slapped her hand with my free hand. She jumped up and left the room. She leaned back in to give me a thumbs up before she ducked back out of the room. I smiled at her and frowned at the situation. “Hey.” I barely squeaked out.
“Charlie, what’s wrong?” He asked confused.
“Tyson, we need to talk.” I whispered to him nervously.
“What do we need to talk about?” He asked cautiously.
“Are you alone?” I asked biting my lips.
“Yes, but I really need to go.” He answered upset.
“Tyson, this is important. So can you put whatever it is on hold and talk to me?” I told him sternly. I heard a sigh before a click and tears fell from my eyes.
