What About Love [Austin Mahone/Jake Miller/Janoskians FF]

Chapter 4

The drive to dinner wasn't so bad until my big sister turned the music down and turned in the passanger seat. I could tell she was rather a bit irritated with me but I don't blame her. You would be too if your sister wouldn't let you hang out with her friend even though he's your ex-boyfriend. I was waiting in her to pester me with a bunch of questions like 'Why can't I hang with Jake?' 'I don't see why I can't spend time with him' and shit like that. Analee started to say something but then stopped just as we approached a red light that just turned green. That was it, I was going to get to the bottem of this.

"Analee I know you have something to say so get it over with and tell me." I spat out, a bit angerly.

I saw her flinch from the corner of my eye,"Why did you get mad at me earlier today when I talked about Jake? I thought you were over him.."

"Leelee, what Jake and I had was ... was special. He was there for me when you ignored me while you date whats-his-name. Jake was there when I moved and cried for Austin at the crack of dawn. But seeing you with him stings a bit because if you two dated..." I trailed off because I was about to cry.

Analee grabbed my right hand and held it in hers, rubbing it and trying to soothe me. News flash! Your the reason I'm like this and you're acting all innocent? Please take a fucking seat! I relaxed because, after all, she is my big sister. I heard her let out a huff through her nose as we pulled up to the restaurant. When we finally found a spot in the parking lot and walked inside to meet up with the boys. Jake wore his usual Young & Reckless shirt with some nice black jeans and some Nike SBs, Austin wore an American Eagle white button down shirt,  black jeans and my favorite black and lime green Vlados kicks I bought him for his birthday before the move. That made me smile because he still had them even though we stopped talking and all. Analee and I walked up to the boys and waved. Austin engulfed me into a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek, Jake gave Analee a hug and me a kiss on the cheek and a hug that I missed. Jessica stop it what about Austin?! I thought. But what about Jake? I still feel for him.. I thought. I felt a tap on my shoulder and snapped out of thought when I realized Austin was the one tapping me and I zoned out.

I blushed, embarrassed,"Sorry guys, just lost my train of thought."

They nodded and we were sat in a booth for four: Jake sat next to me, Austin sat across from me and Analee sat across from Jake. The waitress, named Ali, went to grab us some bread and we all deliberated on what we wanted. I chose the Lobster Love Fest which I shared with Austin, Jake got a steak and fries, and Analee got a Shrimp Pasta Bowl. We had a few jokes and laughs until it turn a huge turn.

"Hey Jai (yes she calls me jai and spells it that way sometimes), are you seeing anyone?" Analee asked, taking a bite out of her pasta.

I took a sip out of my root beer and looked at Austin. My phone ringtone Lost In Love by Big Time Rush feat. Jake rang and it was Jai calling - saved by the phone! I excused myself and answered the call.

"Oh my gosh thank you for saving me! You called at just the right time Jai Dominic Brooks!" I exclaimed.

Jai chuckled,"No problem. So I saved you from what exactly?"

"Answering the dredded question: Single or Taken. I don't know what to say because Austin hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend so technically i'm single but its complicated." I said, lightly chuckling.

I heard Beau shout something I couldn't quite make out but it caused Jai to yell and then I heard my lovely cousin Skip grab the phone and run with it. This made me laugh and I tried getting someone to answer me which was James, don't ask me how he got the phone but he did.

"Jess! Whadddup!" James asked/yelled into the phone.

I rubbed my ear,"I have a ear ache but I'm also at dinner and Jai saved me from saying something stupid!"

"The relationship status thingy?" He asked, curiously.

I nodded even though he couldn't see me,"Yeah."

My phone vibrated and a text message popped up. I slid the unlock bar and it sent me to my texts.

Hey where'd you go? You okay?

To: Austybear :3

I'm alright, coming in a sec. Jai called me about Skip - my cousin. Can you come outside actually? x

From: Austybear :3

yes x

"Hey James! Yo James!" I called into the phone.

"Yesssss" James sung to me.

I saw Austin walking towards me,"Let me call you back when I get home okay hun? Tell everyone I love them and give Skip a kiss for me!"
