Fight For You Chapter 22

Louis' Pov:

"Harry." "Yes Louis," he said. "I think we need some gas," I said. He stifled back a laugh as he shook his head. "What, what did I say? I think we need gas," I said. The car erupted with laughter as I sat here in confusion. Harry hushed us as he tried calming down. "Brooke's sleeping," he said. "Louis, we are fine. We are good on gas," Liam said. "But our last fill up was yesterday before we traveled down here," I said. "We will be fine-" "Yeah... but we might actually need gas," Harry said, cutting Zayn off. "Why is that? Isn't it full?" Niall asked.

The car made some burbling noises as it came to a slow stop. We stared off in silence at the empty gas meter that hit the bug E. "No," Harry said. "You mean we are stranded in a car in the middle of no where?" Zayn asked. "I know where we are. The gas station is a mile down the rode. I'll go get gas while you boys stay here with Brooke," Harry said. "No how about I go get the gas with Zayn and Niall. While you and Louis stay here with Brooke," Liam said.

"I doubt you will trust us boys with Brooke. You'd never know. Plus, wouldn't you feel safer with Brooke?" I asked. Harry looked at all of us and said, "You three really want to go, do you?" "Yes!" The three boys shouted. "Alright. Head on out of here and please hurry back," Harry said. "Let me show you what you do." The boys got out of the car leaving me alone in the back seat with a sleeping Brooke in the front.

I saw her stir in her sleep before she fluttered her eyes opened. "Louis?" She yawned with her eyes squinted shut. "Yes Brooke?" She got out of the car and closed the door behind her. I watched her walked around the front of the van to my side. She opened my back door and sat in. She closed it and scooted besides me. She rested her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes.

"Do you mind if I lay with you?" She asked. "I don't mind," I said as my cheeks turned a light shade of pink. She wrapped her arms around my torso and fell back asleep. I hesitantly wrapped my arm around her but I soon relaxed. I looked down at her to see she was peacefully sleeping. I pushed some hair out of her face and behind her ear. A small smile fell on her face as she snuggled closer into me.

I heard her mumble something incoherently but sounded like my name. I furrowed my eyebrows and leaned in closer to hear better. I never knew she was a sleep talker. She stirred in her sleep again. and mumbled, "I love you L-" "Okay hurry up!" Harry shouted, he closed the door and let out a sigh. "You have to love all of us Louis," he said, chuckling to himself.

"We are a crazy group of boys," I said. "And different," he added. "So where's Brooke?" He asked. "She came back here and fell asleep on me," I said. He looked back and started to laugh at the sight. "So Harry I've been meaning to ask you again," I said through his laughing. "Yes?" He calmed himself down a little but he still kept a simple smile on.

"May I please ask Brooke out on a friendly date. I already know she will say no but it's worth a try," I begged. "Louis," he said with a stern frown. "I know... I know." My lips parted in a frustrated sigh. I folded my arms across my chest whilst rolling my eyes. "It's a no. I get it," I huffed. "Sorry Louis. I made rules and I don't want any of the boys trying anything on Brooke especially you. She is my little sister. Well, besides Zayn. He already tried asking me if he could date Brooke. I gave in and I told him yes," he said. "He what?!" I shouted in anger. Harry burst out laughing. "What's so funny?" I asked in annoyance and irritation. "I'm kidding Louis. Zayn didn't ask me. He doesn't like Brooke like that," he said.

"Don't joke around like that," I said, lightly laughing but kept a serious tone. "Don't worry. I'm not allowing anyone to date Brooke," he said. "Not even your best mate?" I asked. He shook his head. "Sorry lad. Brooke is off limits. You would do the same for your sister," Harry said. "You don't own her Harry," I argued. He frowned at me and said, "No but she is my sister and I have the rights to protect her."
