Fight For You Chapter 24

Brooke's Pov:

"Morning Brooke-a-licous." My curtains were pulled open and the sunlight shined brightly in my eyes. I shield my eyes to keep the light from blinding me. I blinked a few times to have my eyes adjust to the light before looking at the bed-side clock. It read seven-thirty in the morning.

"It's time to get up sleepy head," the soft voice whispered. I sat up and rubbed my eyes; a yawn escaped my slightly parted lips and I looked over at the person. "Gemma?" I groaned. "That's my name," she said with a smiling face. She has so much energy at this time of day. And I don't know how she could. She was already dress to perfection while I sat up half-awaken with squinted eyes, morning breath, and matted hair that stuck in every direction.

"Hurry and get dress. I'm taking you out. I want to know more about my little sister," she said in her usual bright and bubbly personality. "Gemma... I love you and all but it is seven in the morning and I should be asleep right now so if you don't mind... please walk yourself out," I mumbled with closed eyes. She chuckled and reached forward to grab my shoulders before shaking me back and forth. It startled me wide awake and I screeched, "I'm up!" She sent me a smirk before walking out.

I grumbled many incoherent words under my breath as I tossed the sheets aside and stood up. My feet hit the soft, fuzzy carpet. My toes wiggled against the soft surface before I quickly undressed and put my body in a robe. I walked out of the bedroom and down to the bathroom at the end of the hall. I opened the door and walked in; closing it behind me and locking it.

I twisted the knob on the shower and waited for it to heat up. In the meantime, I opened the cabinet doors underneath the sink and grabbed a towel then, I set it on top of the sink so it will be ready for me when I'm done. I felt the steam of the hot shower hitting my skin meaning it was hot and ready for me to get in. I untied my robe and let it drop to the floor before stepping in.

I was in and out of the shower in less than ten minutes. After I showered, I turned off the water and stepped out. I wrapped the towel around my body and rung out the remaining water in my hair before I threw it up in another towel. I kept my robe in the bathroom but I hung it up behind shower. I quickly did my routine in the bathroom before my feet wandered to the door; I opened it and stepped out. I tip toed quietly down the hall (I did not want to be caught in nothing but a towel), but with my luck I ran right into someone and we bumped heads against each other causing me to almost drop my towel in surprise.

"Ow!" I yelped as I rubbed my head. I looked up to see Louis also rubbing his head. "That hurt," he said, laughing to lighten the situation. "Tell me about it," I said. He looked down at me and his cheeks turned bright red. He quickly covered his eyes and turned around. "I am so sorry," he apologized and began to ramble on about his mistake. "I- I'm just going to go," he stuttered before quickly walking down the stairs with his eyes still covered.

I let out a soft laugh before I began walking into my room. The door was left opened so I walked in and closed it behind me. I locked it before I dropped my towel. I did my usual routine of getting dressed which was putting my clothes on, doing hair, no make up, and finishing it off with my charm bracelet. "There," I whispered with a smile in approval. I walked out of my bedroom and down the long hallway; I made my way down the stairs (I made sure to be careful with each step I took).

"No way," Gemma gushed. "I know right. It just happened," Louis said. "What did?" I asked, walking into the kitchen where the two sat. "Uhh... when you and the lads bumped into your step-parents," Gemma mumbled. "I've never been put in an awkward position in my life," I said with a roll of my eyes. "I was arguing for you. I didn't want you to go back to those simpletons," Louis said, chuckling. "I know and I love you for that," I said, leaning forward and pressing my lips to his cheek. Louis' cheeks turned bright red. Gemma couldn't help but laugh with a knowing smirk.
