Chapter five the party

Chapter 5- Get ready

Ally's POV

"My day one rule is keeping my cool" I sang as I pranced around the bathroom. "Hurry up in there ally, other people have to shower for tonight's ceremony" Henry said sassily. "Yeah yeah give me a few minutes sassy pants" I said back through the door.

We were formally invited to the 'welcoming ceremony'. I personally would rather not go but May And Jack insisted we should because 1) it was our first party (mays idea) and 2) it was a good way to get to know people (jacks idea). Henry didn't comment but I knew he would also rather not go, he hates big gatherings, I didn't like them either but our friends were the social butterflies of our group. They were lucky they could actually have a conversation with strangers rather than freak out on the inside like I do.

I walked out of the bathroom in my black skinny jeans, a blue crop top I found in the closet and a black denim jacket, I looked kinda slutty to be honest but may insisted I would look "hot". I surely didn't feel hot I felt like a hoe.

I heard a wolf whistle and Jack say "damn girl if I wasn't gay I would be all over you" with a wink. I shook my head at him. May was grinning at me and said "Hottie alert jeez girl you outshine me". Henry smiled and said "you look nice Ally" I smiled back at him and said "well the showers free your highness" and fake bowed. He pretends to flip his hair and walks into the bathroom and closes the door to shower. Sass me much.

I applied my make up while Henry showered. A small amount of mascara, some lip gloss and a hint of white eye shadow. Henry walked out of the bathroom in black jeans, a grey longsleeve and held his new blue converse he found in his wardrobe in his hands. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

---at the party---
The party was in full swing out on the football field. Students were talking and dancing everywhere. We stood next to each other, slightly thrown off by the amount of people there were. Even May had lost her super duper self confidence she had going on.

Then four boys approached us. They looked friendly and smiley. "Hey I'm Scott" one of them said. He held out his hand, he had brown hair and super cute brown eyes, like a puppy. His friend on his left said "hey I'm Genim but you can call me stiles.". This guy had brown hair, hazel eyes and a really cute face. But not as hot as Jayden..... I said nothing. "I'm Issac and this is Derek" the last one introduced. Issac had light blonde hair with blue green eyes and Derek looked like he was probably a senior. He had dark brown hair, greenish eyes and a dark brooding personality. "Do you guys wanna hang out tonight, you seem a little lost" Scott asked politely. "Actually you look a lot lost, no offence" stiles said. He seemed more like the sassy best friend that everyone wants. "Sure" May said standing next to Scott. When did she get over there? We walked around and hung out for the night...

Later that night was when things got interesting. Scott, may, Henry, stiles, and Jack had drank a lot and were drunkenly sitting in a circle. Me and Issac looked at them in amusement while Derek sort of just stared into nothingness. I walked to where Derek was and sat next to him. "Are you okay Derek"? I asked. "I just don't want these idiots to get hurt, I love them all and when they drink they act like idiots, so I need to watch them like Hawks, plus a lot of crap has been going wrong lately so yeah...." he said sadly. I slightly side hugged him. "Well Derek if I know anything it's that everything has a balance. It can never be always bad or always good, it may seem that way for a while but in a matter of time it will all level out" I said. He lifted his head and smiled at me slightly. I smiled back. We faced back to the circle of idiots we call our friends.

Henry and stiles were cuddling. Like full on, stiles had his head tucked under Henry's chin and his arms wrapped around him, I awed and the sight and pointed it out to Derek. He just smiled lightly and shook his head. Scott and may were talking about God knows what. Jaycee had joined as at some point and him and Jack were lying together, jacks head in Jaycees lap while he slept. Issac was sleeping on the grass by the time I got to look at him. I told Derek about Issac and he just went and sat next to him, placing Isaacs head in his lap and placing his jacket over him. The song kids from Mikky Ekko ran through my head at this exact moment. Oh I'm gonna let the future in, the future in, take it all, make it on my own, sweet harmony, kids are gonna do what they want. I love that song.

Jayden sat next to me. "How's it going" he asked, "fine, for once things seem pretty good" I replied. I thought about the quote I told Derek a few minutes ago. In a matter of time it will all level out. I sighed. Jayden placed his arm around my shoulders and drew me in for a side hug. "We may not have met on the best terms but for what it's worth I'm sorry I was such a dick to you" he said to me. I nodded and owned into his shoulder, slowly drifting to sleep.
