"Ebony, the kind, you shall be granted the power of Foresight. Use it wisely." Ebony was a tall girl, a kind girl and also, my sister. She was everything our parents always wanted. Sweet, kind and caring. She made excellent grades, just as well as the rest of us, straight A's it was what was expected and what we each delivered.
"Zen, the cunning, you shall be granted the power of persuasion. Use it carefully." All of us knew, Zen never wanted Persuasion, he hated it, he loathed it with a passion, everyone knew what he was after.
We all were actually, Foresight, the ability to seen multiple futures simultaneously. Who wouldn't want that??
"Phenix, the fierce, you shall be granted the power of the Marksman's Eye. Use it thoughtfully." Phenix is my second eldest brother after Zen, he's as nutty as they come, I haven't a clue why grandfather gave him Marksman's Eye, possibly one of the most dangerous powers he could have been given.
"Lucy, the sweet, you shall be granted the power of Quickstop, only use it when absolutely necessary." Lucy was a gentle soul, she truthfully wouldn't hurt a fly.
It was the way she was, following after out dearly departed mother, in personality wise, and a little in looks.
The same went for; Ebony, Zen, Lucy, Blades(Yin) and myself. We each had brown hair, reasonably long and pretty uncontrollable.
"Yang, the eldest of the twins, the power of right arm Deflection is your's to use as you see fit." Yang however wasn't really like anyone I'd ever really met, she was pretty Bi-polar.
One minute happy and cuddly, next minute she was ready to rip someone's head clean off. She was difficult that way.
"Yin, the youngest of the twins, the power of left arm Deflection is now your's to wield." Both the twins sorta had this in common though, although neither would admit to being the same in the slightest, their moods changed instantly, making them very hard to predict.
"Luna, you may not be ready for this my dear, but I fear I don't have long left. From now onward, you are granted the power of the Phantom, allow the shadows to guide and care for you." And then lastly, there was me, the youngest of our siblings.
I was no one special, well, not until I was gifted with the power of the Phantom.
One thing was for sure, I was going to be the strongest of my siblings, at least, that was what I thought at the time.
