"It's beautiful here, I can never really wrap my head around this place." I turned around slowly, my hand reaching for the beretta 87 hidden under the couch cushion.

My eyes landed on a familiar 5 foot 9 figure, shaggy black hair and those annoyingly silver eyes.

"Zero." I signed, pushed off the couch and pulled him down for a hug, my hand hanging down from the weight of the beretta in my hand.

"Luna, old habits die hard, eh??" He chuckled, lightly holding up my wrist with the black handgun hanging from its weight.

"What are you doing back here??" I pulled back my wrist and placed the beretta down, a high pitched clink as it touched down on the glass bench top.

I moved towards the stair case but was blocked suddenly by Zero, and a few seconds later the rush of wind caught up to him, blowing my hair in my face.

"I think you know exactly why. We're all being drawn here-" Pushing him aside, I continued up the stairs, Zero, having been here enough times knew what I was doing and respectfully stayed down on the first level.

"-Why here?? Why my home??" I sighed, sliding open my closet door, a rank of clothing greeted me on the other side.

"This is not, you're home." My hand froze mid air and my features dropped.

"I know about the masquerade, so does Lucy, Ebony and Yin." I turned around, dress draped over my forearm and a pair of black lace gloves in between my fingers.

"That's it?? No one else??" I leaned over the ledge and looked back up confused, he was there just a minute ago.

Turning around, I scrunched up my nose and looked up, nearly fainting from the sight of bright silver eyes.

"I'm fast but I'm no tracker. I stubbled upon Yin by pure coincidence." He chuckled, walking over to my four poster bed and plonking down, the bed moulding to his shape, enveloping him.

"I guess I haven't been very invisible these past few years." I sighed and walked behind my Japanese style changing sheet.

"No, you haven't, then again, you've been better than Ebony." As I was peeling off my dark blue skinny jeans, I could hear the faint rush of wind as Zero zoomed around my room.

Picking up and observing everything that must have changed in the last month.

"I'll take you're silence as a yes." The air paused, I'm guessing he did too, as I felt a faint pain in the back of my head.

I straightened, and turned, my gaze landing on a simple black gala mask.

"I got it in Peru. Thought you'd like it." He mumbled, a heavy weight weighed on my dressing sheet, I got up on my tippy toes, and glanced over the changing sheet.

Zero's jet black hair greeted me, I blew out and the black mess of tangles flooded out of the path of the air.

"It's, acceptable." I huffed, falling back, flat on my feet.

Glancing down at the puffy, black dress in disgust, I bunched up the skirt of the dress and ducked my head through to the head part. I straightened up and let the dress fall into place, some bits I had to help into place by yanking it down. Sighing, I realized my mirror was in the other side of the room, along with my shoes, my amulet and my hair brush.

I glared heatedly through the changing sheet to where I guessed my brother was currently standing.

Clenching my fists together I breathed in and out, then, I opened my eyes, black, white and gray being the only colour I could see. It was always like this, an old black and white movie, whenever I used my 'gift' it happened.

I walked around the cherry pink sheet and straight to my shoes.

"Luna, it's not like your naked. You don't have to-" As I was pulling on my black lace up combat boots, I glanced back and scoffed.

"Shh." I hissed, wondering over to my jewelry box and lifted the lid, only to find, that the box was empty.

Colour faded back into my vision and Zero's head whipped towards me in surprise.

"Give me back my amulet." I held out my hand, my other on my hip, scrunching up the dress.

"What amulet??" Zero shrugged, and as he did that his button up jacket jingled.

Sighing, I walk forward and reached out for his collar, before I could grab ahold of him, his hand shot out and wrapped around my wrist like a vise. Wincing slightly, I recalled why I use the element of surprise.

"Ask for it back, nicely." He muttered darkly, his grip tightening slightly.

"Go to hell." I wrenched my arm back, knocking myself in the stomach in the process.

"I'm only kidding, why would I want this old thing-" Silver eyes shone with amusement, as he reached into his lower pocket.

"-When you've got you're own??" I grumbled, catching the flying piece of metal midair.

Pausing, I turned the amulet over and ran my fingers over the smooth glass.

Three names were written on it, swirling around the landscape picture of the pale pink and purple sky's.
