"My dear, friends, fellow Evoes, benefactors  and other important people that I may or may not have forgotten." A small rumble of laughter grifter through the crowd, I could even hear Zero laughing behind me.

"I have invited you all here tonight, on the eve of Halloween, to celebrate the success of Power Peace." Ebony never looked more at home up on that stage, her voice and posture perfect.

"This had a one in a million chance at success, Power Peace has caught the attention of Governments in England, China, Japan and Russia. And these countries have all suggested similar propositions." She smiled that stunning smile that instantly alerted all the males in the room, even the married ones dared a peak.

"They want to hire some of our registrated Evoes, to do things that others, cannot, physically and mentally." I rolled my eyes, and crossed my arms, typical of Ebony to put Evoes on a pedestal that no normal human, or Evo, could ever hope to rise to.

"Slowly, bit by bit, different religions from all across the globe have accepted who we are, only the odd two or three have disagreed with our practices and gifts." Scoffs and huffs were echoed around the room, and scowls were a popular expression in the crowd.

"And for those who claim we are evil because of a few, exceptions to our newly placed laws. With that in mind, we are being judged on our less than perfect members of our beautiful and unique race."

Chocolate brown curls bounced elegantly as she shook out her hair and swept it over her shoulder.

"We are not to be judged by the few who do not follow the laws set out and agreed upon by us and several governments. As the majority have followed and up held these laws, I feel it is only fair, that we are given an equal chance at living normal, well, as normal life as having powers will allow right??" She chuckled and accepted a thin glass of champion from a passing waiter, she thanked him with a smile.

"So drink, eat and dance the night away, what better way to spend Halloween day, sleeping off a hangover." Ebony raised her glass and everyone in the room followed suit, well, except myself, of course.

Zero would have snatched it out of my hand and chugged it.

"Please, enjoy yourselves and have an wondrous night." Eventually the crowd diminished, and classical music begun to play.

Zero and Lucy glanced at each other and then together they turned their gaze to their approaching sister.

"Ebony, you've created an empire, I'm so proud." Zero proceded to wipe a fake tear with his index finger, a cocky smile on his lips.

"Zero, it's been ages, how's Sophie??" Ebony pulled Zero into a bone crushing hug, that almost made him spill her drink all over her dress, that would not have ended well for anyone.

Zero smiled nervously and rubbed the back of his neck with the hand that was not holding his precious drink.

"Sophie?? Ahh, we didn't work out, exactly." I scoffed and turned to face Ebony with my gloved hands on my dress covered hips.

"She was a prostitute Ebony, Zero paid her to come to dinner that night." Ebony gasped, Zero groaned and rubbed his temples ready to cop a massive lecture.

"Zero! What fowl language have you been teaching this poor, sweet, innocent girl?!"

Lucy snickered at Ebony's angry face, she covered her mouth to prevent herself from spiting out her drink.

"Hardly innocent I'd say, she figured it out all by herself." The silver eyed male rushed to defend himself, practically falling over his words as he did so.

"It was not that hard when I walked in on you two making out." Ebony shot Zero a dirty look and grabbed another glass of champaign.

She tipped her head back and drowned the whole glass, the black haired male whistled lowly with a wicked smile.

I turned away from my bickering siblings and gently pulled down my mask so it was covering my face one again. Like the shadow I was I blended into the crowd of on lookers, gazing out in amazement and wonder as countless couples spun around and around the dance floor.

A jolt of surprise shot through me as I felt a light tap on my shoulder. I spun around, my dress expanding slightly and then again retuning to its previous place.

This man was tall and rugged, his pants were denim and his white belt hung around his waist undone. He had a white undershirt and a black button up long sleeve jacket, his mask was black with an antler coming out each side.

What had captured my attention wasn't his unusual attire, but his enchanting midnight eyes.

"May I have this dance, Miss Anarchy??"
