ZAYN'S P.O.V.
As I leave the studio, the boys wish me good luck on my date. Even Liam does, which I am shocked at. Arent we trying to win over the same girl?
I get into my car and look at the clock.
5:37. Less than half an hour until my date with Al. I wonder what she is doing at this moment, right now, and I smile thinking about it. I can imagine her standing infront of a full body length mirror, making sure that she looks absolutely perfect. I can see her messing with her hair, to get it to fall just right. Then, when she is satisfied with how she looks, she smiles, and walks away from the mirror, to wait for me. I then think about the night that I have planned for us, how perfect it will be. I can imagine her smiling at me when I do this, and laughing when I tell a really cheesy joke. I can imagine her looking into my eyes when I tell her something, that I have never told anyone before. I can see how she would be concerned for me, and wanting to help. I start to daydream, creating perfect scenarios in my mind, about how I would show her my surprise, and how she would react. I sit there for a few minutes, daydreaming, until my phone starts ringing. I look at my caller ID and the picture, and I see the very person who broke my heart.
Perrie Edwards.
'No.' I think to myself. 'You dont need her, and you dont need to think about her, you have a date with the most gorgeous girl you have ever seen.' Even though I am telling myself not to answer it, I find myself doing so.
"Hello?" I ask, biting my lip, bringing back all of the memories that we shared together, good and bad.
"Zaynie!" Perrie's voice screamed on the other end of the phone call. "How is my wonderful boyfriend." I almost throw up at that last word. 'Boyfriend' It sounds all wrong coming out of her mouth.
"Perrie, I am not your boyfriend any more." I state." And you are not my girlfriend." I add a bit too sourly.
"What? Of course I am still your girlfriend." She persists.
"No, you are not. You cheated on me, and I-We are done." I say firmly. "Now, why are you calling me?"
"I just wanted to say that I am in L.A. for the weekend, and I would like to see you," She said. "I want to repair our relationship." Now that was a bunch of knives to the heart. I am now angry at her, angry at myself for answering the call.
"No." I say plainly.
"What?" She asks. "Why?"
"Because," I sigh, a smile appearing on my face. "I have a date tonight. And she is a wonderful girl and she is beautiful and is so kind to me, even though I have only known her for a few days."
"Wait," She starts to say. "Dont tell me. She is one of the 'fangirls' that won the contest, isnt she?" She snickers.
"Yes, she is. And she is everything that you werent." I say getting a little bit more angry now. "You arent even half of what she is."
You can here Perrie gasp on the other end, and I hang up with these last words, "Goodbye Perrie. Forever."
I then look at my clock and see that I have 15 minutes to get back to the house to pick her up. I drive down to a local flower shop, and buy her a bouquet of lilies. I get back into my car, and drive to the house. I feel a wave of nervousness overcome me, and I think, 'I have never felt this way on my first date with Perrie.' With that thought, I smile as I get out of the car, with the bouquet in hand, and I walk up the front steps. Before I ring the doorbell, I make sure that I am looking alright. I am wearing dark jeans with a white top that I borrowed from Harry.(He just doesnt know it yet.) I then have on my favorite leather jacket and combat boots. I check my hair in the window's reflection, and it looks just the same way it had when we were in Japan. I take a deep breath and ring the doorbell, with the flowers behind my back.
