I turned to realise that it was Tibs and her new boyfriend, Suga, entering the room. Phew.
For a moment I thought It may be all a dream, but it was true. I sat on the edge of the table, shuffling my feet back and forth across the polished, smooth floor.
"Ashley, Miss Felina is looking for you," Tayyibah said in concern "You're the only one from the group that is missing, so you better," she motioned at Akhmenrah, "Erm, finish what you were doing."
I spoke up, "Are we leaving already?"
"Well, its been two hours, so yeah, its a convenient time to leave...."
"Oh." I looked in disappointment at my boyfriend. Who I had only met today. And had to depart from here on the same day. Why is my life so messed up?
"We'll be off then. When you're done, just meet up at the entrance." With that, holding him tightly, Tibs left with her boyfriend.....leaving me with mine. Who I felt was temporary, because we might never meet again.
Akh noticed my tears, and held me close. He whispered, "This is not the end, my love. Please,do not weep over our departure. Just for me? Ok? "
He wiped away the sadness, and I gave him a light smile. Which lead to another kiss. He kept hold of my shivering hands, and embraced me within his warmth. I wanted to live there forever.
Finally, after what should have felt like a thousand years, but lasted only a mere five minutes, I had to leave. My tears returned, but I held them back, because of the strength The King of Egypt had gave me.
"So long, my beautiful Princess. We will meet again. Promise."
"Yes, King Akmenrah. I am very sure we will."
He grinned again, his cheeky but the-type-that-kills-your-insides grin. I moaned under my breath, secretly clutching my stomach full of butterflies.
