Love is a Golden Chance

As light is always bright, so is love

Nothing happened. I tried my best to try the combination lock for the tablet,  but my flustering fingers managed to make utter nonsense.

Then, I heard a faint tingle.

The golden, mesmerizing glow spread slowly, as I turned the piece on the lower right  of the tablet.

Sure enough the coffin started vibrating, once more-and my eyes swiveled in excitement. The reunion of me and Akh was so close.

Slowly, but surely, the coffin slid open, and Akhmenrah, wrapped tightly in bandages, propped himself upwards. He unwrapped to reveal his perfect face, and my spine tingled. My love, my beautiful soul. 

"Oh my Princess", he sighed, "I have waited so long." And with that he leaned forward, and kissed my lips, so delicately. I kissed him back.

"But, I am afraid that the tablet is not something to play around with, as in mere seconds, every exhibit will come to life"  

I looked around, panicking, and he smiled once more. "Do not worry," he chuckled, " here ", and he started turning the dials, "With this, only I will be the one to live, for the moment"

I breathed a sigh of relief, while he gave me a very long and warm-hearted embrace. I clutched onto him, like a little child. 

Then something dawned upon me. "Why didn't you do that before? "

"My love, don't you understand ? I need someone to turn the dials, then I can use my magic, for living life. "

Oh. I had never thought of that. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approached, and  Akh hid behind one of the colossal tomb guards.

Larry saw me. He shook his head disapprovingly, and asked, "Hey, aren't you that girl from-what's the name, "  he clicked his fingers, thinking, "Yeah, that Shoreway Middle school. "

Then he blinked and said what he was supposed to say, " What are you doing here? They're gonna refurbish this exhibit. You better go from here.   "

The penny dropped when he said go. Unexpected tears rolled. Was this the end?
