Krystal's POV
Jason has been lingering in my mind all day. Ashley too... I slumped into the couch, going through channels on the tv. "Mind if we watch Fairy Tail?" I jumped, hearing Jason's voice behind me. "Uh yeah. Sure." He smiled, jumping over the couch and sitting next to me. He grabbed a blanket and covered himself. When it got mid episode, I started shivering a bit from the cold.
He turned his head over to me, giving me a small smile. "Here." He threw the blank over both of us, which made my face turn red from embarrassment. "I Uh... Thanks." "No problem." After that was just silence, besides the tv playing. In the corner of my eye I saw Ashley, all dressed up to go somewhere. She glanced at us, something in here eyes made me uncomfortable, as if it were pain or something, then looked away, heading out the door. "Bye Ashley." I said before she took a step out. She paused, then replied. "Bye." Then walked out, without a second glance.
After a few episodes Jason yawned, looking at the clock, then stood up quickly. "I'm late. I uh have to go pick Ariana up from work. I'll be back later. Bye." I gave him a sad smile. "Bye." Once he walked out the door after grabbing a jacket, I turned off the tv, thinking to myself. I love Jason. What about Ashley? Do I have feelings towards her also? More then just a friend? They both are my friends, but somehow I just want to be more... Jason is already engaged and Ashley is a girl! I dug my hands into my hair. Does Ashley feel the same pain when I'm with Jason the way I'm hurt the way Jason is with Ariana?
"Looks like your in deep thought." I heard Adam say, sipping some coffee behind me. "Hey Adam. I'm just... Confused." Adam took another sip, out his cup down onto the table in front of me, then sat down. "Confused about what?" I just looked at the ground. "My emotions. I like Jason... But he's engaged! I also like... Ashley but... She's a girl too. I don't know if I should be okay with Jason being with Ariana a-" Adam shook his head, his arms crossed.
"You are learning more about yourself. In life, there will be problems that you cannot solve, and answers you cannot find the questions to." I thought about that for a bit, then smiled at him. "Thanks Adam." He smiled back. "Anything Papa Adam can do. If you need to talk to someone, just ask me or Jerome. We will be glad to help." That reminded me... "By the way, where is Jerome? And Mitch?" Adam shrugged. "Probably on a date or so. Listen, I gotta go shopping with Ty, Ian, and Quentin. I'll see you later kiddo." He stood up, then walked out the door.
I'm all alone. Which means... "Snack time!" I jumped off the couch and went over to the kitchen, grabbing any snacks I could find and returning to the couch, turning on the tv and watching shows. I started watching Freezing, an anime I had found on Netflix. I had watched it over 100 times, and I still won't get bored of it. After I saw them in a battle scene, I stood up, grabbing a foam iron sword off the ground and started "fighting".
"Take that Nova! Take that and that!" I yelled, pretending to fight some monster in the living room. The door creaked open, and Jason had poked his head in. I didn't notice, too busy fighting monsters in my imagination. He smiled, picking up a diamond sword from the floor and pointed it at my back. "I challenge you." He said, making me jump and whip around. He had a smirk on his face, waving the sword around.
I smiled, pointing my sword at him. "I accept your challenge Sir Jason." We started fighting, hitting one another with the swords and laughing our hearts out. "Oh no, you have slain me oh great knight!" I dramatically fell on the floor, my hand to my head. He pointed the sowed to my face. "It was a great fight Madam. Now, I will have to slay you." He jabbed me in the stomach, which made me giggle. "Ticklish?" He kept jabbing me with the sword, making me laugh and losing my breath.
"S-stop! I c-can't breathe!" I picked up my sword, which was laying on the ground next to me, then started jabbing him with it. He started laughing, continuing to hit me. We kept on poking one another with the swords, until Jerome and Mitch had returned from their "date".
"Wonderful. We return home to see a couple of goof balls fighting." "Hey!" We both said, still laughing. "Ok sorry." Jerome said, chuckling. "How about we order some pizza? I'm too lazy to make food today. After all, it has been a long day." He looked at Mitch, kissing him on the cheek.
"Where did you guys go?" I asked as Mitch sat down, Jerome had went over to the kitchen to order pizza. "We went to find someone who can plan something." I looked at him confused. "Planning what." He grinned, looking away. "Oh nothing."
Ashley knocked on the door, coming in with two bags. She looked around, then frowned. "No hello?" I smiled. "Hey Ashley. What are those bags?" "Some clothes I bought with Ruby." Ruby? "Here, I also bought you something. A bracelet. I got it especially for you." I walked over, getting the bracelet out of her hand. It was made of a black string, with two silver orbs and a moon with diamonds in it. "It's beautiful. Thank you." I said, hugging her. She chuckled. "Think of it as a late birthday present." I smiled, letting go and walking back over to the couch.
I woke up hearing the chatter downstairs. I could smell fresh pancakes and syrup form the kitchen. Yes! Quickly, I changed and rushed downstairs. "Good morning Krystal." Adam said, happily sipping his coffe. "Good morning." "Hey Jerome!" I said, jumping behind him while he flipped a pancake. "Mornin Sis. Hey, can you help me cook? I need you to put the butter on the pancakes please." I nodded, getting the butter knife out of the drawer and started cutting butter.
"Hey Adam." I heard Jason's voice. "Morning." I kept my back facing him, focusing on my job and cutting the butter. "Listen, I'm planning to have the wedding here!" He said happily. Adam grunted, drinking his coffee. I felt a sharp pain in my chest, but I continued to get plates ready and decided to stay silent. After some awkward silence, Jerome stopped what he was doing. "Why are you having the wedding here?"
Jason shrugged, crossing his arms and leaning back into his chair. "Ariana's house is too small. And having a wedding someplace else would be expensive. I decided to have it here." He paused, then spoke again. "Hey Jerome, can I have some pancakes?" Jerome looked at me, I just stared down at the plate of pancakes in front of me. "Go bring those to him." He whispered.
I gulped, holding the plate in my shaking hands and turned around, walking towards Jason, who was on his phone. "Thanks J-" He looked up to see me. "Krystal! I uh..." I gave him a sad smile. "I'm glad you decided to have the wedding here. It would be wonderful to host..." He just looked down onto his plate. "Uh, thanks. I hope you'll help set it up."
I just looked at him, then returned to the counter, washing some dishes. There was just silence the entire time, until Jason finished and put his dishes in the sink. "I have to go take Ariana to our wedding planner. I'll uh... See you later." He took one more glance at me, then left.
