A/N This chapter will mostly be narration, but I do hope it will give you a look into what's going on since there's a bit of a time jump.

3 Months Later....

Hermione's POV

Well, what can I say? My plan is working perfectly. Theo and I have been "dating" for about 3 months now and Malfoy is as annoyed as ever.

As for my friends, Ginny was slightly mad that I was dating a Slytherin, but soon got over it. The only thing that may have affected her was that I was spending more time with my "boyfriend" than with her.

There was also Harry. Out of all people, I expected him to be very angry, but instead he showed understanding. After the war, he was on better terms with the Slytherins after discovering that they were not all the same.

The person who had the biggest reaction was Ron, but this wasn't a surprise. I didn't particularly want Harry to tell him in fear of his anger problems, but Harry didn't listen. I suppose that's alright on Harry's part. You shouldn't really keep anything from your friends.

Nonetheless, I did. I denied myself the action of telling my friends about the true purpose of dating Theo. I couldn't risk them opening their mouths and spilling the secret. If they did, I would look idiotic in front of Malfoy, and there's no way I could deal with that.

Currently, I was sitting at the Slytherin table next to Theo, rubbing our relationship in his friends' faces, more specifically Draco and Astoria. It really wasn't necessary to sit at the Gryffindor table since we weren't trying to prove anything to anyone over there.

"So Hermione, I was thinking," Theo started.

I interjected. "Always a bad idea," I chuckled lightly.

He rolled his eyes and continued. "We should go somewhere for the holidays. Like Ireland or France. Just the two of us."

I smiled at him while everyone else groaned. "So then you two are getting pretty serious, huh?" Pansy asked. We both nodded at her. She suppressed her groan this time.

I noticed Malfoy avoided eye contact throughout the entire meal. "Who were you planning to spend the holidays with Malfoy?" I asked in a sickly sweet voice.

He glared at me. "I'd prefer not to answer that, Granger. I'm sure whatever I'm doing isn't going to compare to what the two of you have planned." I decided not to push him, as much as I wanted to.

Draco's POV

Granger and Theo were really starting to get on every one of my nerves. I mean, my best mate and my enemy? How did this even happen?

One thing I noticed from their relationship was that they both acted unusually odd. I guess a lot of people change when they start dating, but this was something else. I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

Another thing was that I wasn't the only one who was extremely uncomfortable. Sure, we all hated the idea of Theo dating Granger, but there was one other person in our group who was obviously bothered. Astoria. But like the new found couple's behavior, I couldn't quite grasp what Astoria was thinking or feeling.

I excused myself from the table and went outside. As soon as I exited the warm halls of the castle, I completely regretted it. It was freezing cold with delicate snowflakes falling to the ground. I noticed a few students ice-skating on the Black Lake. But unlike them, I wasn't bundled up. I was wearing ripped jeans and hoodie.

I walked stiffly to the lake and recognized the skaters. There was Potter, Loony, the Weasel's sister, Daphne Greengrass, and Roger Davies, Daphne's boyfriend. Potter immediately noticed me and skated off the lake in my direction, leaving his girlfriend and Loony behind.

"Hello Malfoy," he said once he approached me. I nodded. I really didn't want to talk to him. I actually hadn't talked to him since he saved my life.

".......so anyways, I'm sorry," Potter finished. What was he saying? I guess I zoned out.

My confusion showed on my face. "Sorry for what, Potter? I'm the one who made your life a living hell."

His expression lightened. "I suppose so, but it was all just one massive rejected handshake, in the end."

"I suppose," I replied. Draco what's wrong with you today? Why do you care so much about the Gryffindors? I asked myself.

"Say Malfoy, do you fancy a butterbeer?" Potter asked me.

I contemplated for a moment. For some reason, that hate I had felt for him was gone. And I finally realized. I never hated him. I was just hurt.

"Sure, what's the harm? As long as you're paying," I half-smiled. I realized that I had never really smiled. It was always a sneer or a smirk. Leave it to Potter to change my personality.

As we walked, I asked him about Granger and if he'd felt that she was acting different. I thought it'd be better to ask him because he obviously knew her better than I did. Unfortunately, he replied to me saying that, yes, he did think she was acting different, but he didn't know why.

We kept talking and it felt just like talking to Blaise or Theo. Except he wasn't constantly talking about shagging and the like. When I realized this was when I had my second revelation of the day: for the Boy Who Lived, Potter was a pretty normal bloke.

A/N Early update!!! Much like the new found friendship between Theo and Hermione, there is now a blooming friendship between Harry and Draco. No Drarry though, sorry to disappoint, but it's a Dramione fic after all! I really hope you guys liked this chapter :)
