This would mark the third meeting since the blonde country sudden transformation, while a few still hoped this was just a terrible joke... others had realized this might be how the young county was for good. England shifted uncomfortably in his seat, he hadn't meant for this to get so out of hand. But what could he do?
Before the brit could think of anything, the doors creaked open. Glancing over many of the other counties were confused when two figures stood in the door instead of one. America motioned for his companion to go in ahead of him, before walking silently to his seat. The person he'd brought with him stood quietly behind him, occasionally some what nervously adjusting his glasses.
"America, I'll ask you why you were late later. For now, could you explain who this... stranger you've brought to the meeting is"
Nodding America stood up, smiling at the uneasy teen Alfred said rather simply.
"This is my Capital D.C., as he will be taking my place for future meetings, D.C. asked if I would explain this to all of you rather then just sending him here alone."
Mummbling rose from the meeting room, a Capital taking the place of a country in the world meeting?! Unheard of! Yet here it was happening right before them.
D.C. ran on hand through his dark brown hair, offering a weak smile to the staring countries before inching closer to America. All at once England stood up, glaring at America with disbelief.
"America! Enough of this, you can't honestly expect any capital to be able to replace it's country during these meeting?!"
America frowned, before countering with
"D.C. is only here to listen at relay the important stuff back to me later, it's not like I'm doing much here anyway."
D.C. held up his clipboard and pencil to England, as if that was a explanation to this whole matter.
"America, honestly how long are you going to continue with this charade? It's not funny anymore, or rather it was never funny so stop pretending."
Fury burned in America's eyes, but he only turned away after D.C. placed one hand on the blondes shoulder. The Capital then turned to face England, while his legs shook slightly the brunettes voice was steady.
"Mr. Jones would appreciate it if you wouldn't jump to conclusions like that, and while my presence may make you uncomfortable Mr. Kirkland. I'd be grateful if you would put up with me for a few hours, as unless America suddenly develops amnesia we shall be seeing a lot more of each other."
D.C. said politely, with a small smile that left England at a loss of words. The meeting proved to be nearly identical to the previous one, the only difference would be D.C.'s suggestions for solving world problems. America made no attempt to join, becoming more apart of the background then Canada. England didn't look in the American's direction once, silent as he despertly tried to figure out what would bring back the American Idiot everyone missed.
