The world meetings were getting better and better it seemed, Germany no longer had to take basically take an inter bottle of head ache meds to get through the meeting. England had given up on his plan to get America back. Canada was getting noticed just a little bit more seeing as D.C. was constantly talking to and asking the opinions of his cousin during the meetings. World issues were actually on the way towards getting solved. Things were going great, that was until... the incident.

It happened after the world meeting had just let out, when D.C. had finally finished his goodbyes with his friends. Walking out of the hidden building in Italy where the meeting had taken place that time, the teen was relaxed... this was the first mistake. Countries and their capitals should never relax when their alone, this dulls their heightened human senses leaving them very open to attack.

D.C. couldn't have helped it anyway, it had taken a while to relax in the presence of the Countries much less state opinions in front of the much older and supposedly wiser guys. The teen had honestly until very recently never left his home much less his country before, so getting out in the world and making new friends made him forget this very vital rule. Humming happily a weird song Italy had taught him, he failed to notice the dark figures fallowing him from the shadows.

With a silvery flash, a small blade flew from behind burying itself in D.C. shoulder. More startled then hurt, the Capital whipped around trying to see who threw it.But saw nothing, pulling the blade from his back D.C. narrowed his eyes.

'This isn't nearly a large enough blade to do much harm to a normal human so why?...'

He pondered, before realizing who ever had throw it might still be around watching him. Even if he couldn't see them, the feeling of being closely watched made his back feel like it was on fire. Sticking the blade in his bag, having decided to have America analyze it when he got back. D.C. once again had let his guard down too much to realize the full extent of what that kind of blade was used for.

Poison, not just any poison. This stuff was potent enough to take down a full grown human male in seconds, while D.C. may have been a capital that doesn't mean he's immortal. The effects started to kick in when he reached the airport at 8:57 pm, it started out as simply feeling like a severe lack of appetite. This didn't startle the teen as normally he wasn't that hungry after a world meeting anyway. About an hour later D.C. started feeling sick, growing paler by the minute. The flight attendances  started to get a little worried around half way through the flight, after the teen passed out for the third time.

Sweating up a storm, D.C. had nothing left in his stomach and had spat up at least a few mouth full of stomach acid around the ninth hour in the elven and a half hour flight back. The captain had posted two flight attendee's to watch the teen after during the fifth black out D.C. had stopped breathing for a short while. Shaking violently D.C. declined the offers of help after they landed, even managing to sneak off when the pilot called a ambulance for him. His vision blurred in and out as he struggled to get back home, home thats all he wanted then was just to be home.

He hardly registered when he coughed up blood, the capital hadn't been able to think clearly for the past few hours anyway. The world was fading out as he walked up the steps the door which a very foggy looking America opened.

"Welcome back D.C. how was your... hey are you feeling oooookaaaayyyy..."

D.C. blinked groggily swaying form side to side as he tried to figure out which of the spinning Americas had spoken in that weird voice. Coughing up another mouth full of blood, D.C. fell lifelessly to the ground if America hadn't caught him.

"D.C.! Hey! Come on little buddy, we'll get through this just hang on okay?"

Taking off full speed, America ran to the closest hospital trying to ignore that limp form of his capital didn't have a noticeable heartbeat...
