Tay's POV "A bullet to my heart"

Tay’s POV

I kept calling and texting Jason's phone but still no answer. This ain't like him he always answers my phone calls why not now?

It was hitting 9:30 and me and Jason were supposed to hit the movies tonight and then out to eat. But I guess he's backing out on our plans since he don't know how to pick up his phone.

"Girl what's up? Why yo face lookin so blue?" Shonda said throwing herself on my bed next to me with a bowl of popcorn.

"Jason ain't picking up we were supposed to go out but he ain't answering" I sadly said

"Well maybe he still gettin ready" shonda said. "Since when y'all started going out in public, Terehl must know bout y'all"

"Nope he don't, that's why we still sneaking around" I laughed. “Maybe you're right he still probably home trying to pick out the right outfit for me, that boy do love him some Tay'sha". We both looked at each other and laughed historically.

"So when you planning on telling him?" She asked breaking the laughter.

"I don't know, I know not anytime soon we just started making it official. I wanna see where this goes, then maybe I’ll just up and tell him". I said

"Oh that's a good idea. Li-listen Tay I got something to te-”. Just as Shonda was ready to say something another call from Erik came in.

"This is the fourth time he has called me, what part of no does this nigga not understand?" I shouted.

I let the call to voicemail and tried to finish off the conversation with Shonda when my phone rang again, it was a text this time.

Text received at 9:42

"Tay this Erik, I really need to talk to you pick up your phone".

I read the text and threw it back on the bed, turning on the TV. I thought Erik was on that getting back together bullshit so I didn't even bother to text back. The news came on and there was a helicopter circling a seen around a gas station.

"Damn look Shonda, somebody done got they ass shot up down in West Palm" I said pointing at the TV.

There was yellow tape everywhere so that had to mean someone was dead.

"Just around 6:00 pm it has been reported that a drive by shoot out has occurred at the shells gas station just north of west palm. One of them got out to pay for gas when an unmarked car pulled up and began shooting at the Toyota while the other two were still sitting inside of the car". The lady anchor said.

We listened some more when another phone call came in.

"Listen Erik! I don't hav-". "-No baby this ya Aunt Janette" she said in a crying voice.

"He-hey aunty what's going on why you sounding like that?"

"Baby its Terehl, he done got shot today in west palm, he's in surgery right now!"

I looked at the TV and screamed as the detectives marked the bloody ground."Nooo no no no no no, please don't say that aunty!" My eyes tearing up.

"Get down here now, they don't know if he's gone make it or not, oh my god not my baby!" She screamed.

"Three young men have been reported that after playing basketball they stopped by the gas station, detectives has not yet recognized them fully but there was a tag one that read Terehl and another ID that read Jason. No full names were discovered yet but police has stated that Terehl the survivor of the two that were shot has been rushed to the hospital". Said the anchor lady

My heart dropped when she said their names I dropped my phone and covered my face with my hands hoping this was all just a dream.

"One of them, Jason was reported dead on the scene."

"Ahhhh nooo, not Jason no not Jason!" I screamed as Shonda came over to me and held me.

She rocked me back and forth as tears ran down my face. I was weak I felt dead my older brother and boyfriend got shot up lord why me? He’s all I got.

Shonda was just about ready to cut off the TV when the anchor was interrupted with more news.

 "-Wait, wait he's not dea-?”.She said holding her earpiece. “We just got news that Jason has a pulse he's in deep con-caution, they just found a pulse on him and he is now being rushed to the hospital! Reporting to you live I am Dana Marshall and this Channel 7 News."

Shonda and I looked at each other in silence and hurried to my car, I was too much of in a shock to drive so she took the keys from me and we headed down west palm in a heartbeat. We got there in about 5 minutes because the way Shondas driving skills are set up- well you know the rest.

We parked in The ER area and rushed inside to where my aunt was sitting, I noticed Shonda to side crying and holding her stomach but when I seen my aunt all that didn’t matter anymore. I hurried and hugged her with tears flowing down both our faces, and then I heard doors shut and a tall white guy in a doctor suit came walking towards us.

“Excuse me; are you the family of Terehl Toussaint?” He asked.

My aunt stood up and stared at the doctor. ”Yes” we answered. “I’m his Aunt Janette”

"Ms. Janette, Terehl is-"

Hey Babes I tried to upload as much as I can, I have exams coming up next week and I wanted to focus more on that, sorry it took almost a week going on two to upload this part. So what do guys think? Is Terehl dead? What happened to Jason? Bet you guys thought Erik set them up huh? Comment comment comment answers…give me your ideas
