The Meeting

Tay'sha POV

I got out of class at about 11am and had to drive straight to work since Mr. Burris called me in early. I was already dressed casually so I was cool. I walked in the building at 11:15 and I can hear neck breaking and eyes rolling. I seen Jackson at his desk and hurried to sit by him

"Yo Jackson what's going on? Why is everybody in so early?" I whispered to him

"Chy I don't know, it's probably just a raise or something you know how he like to over exaggerate"

"Oh well girl, I need to fax you the T"

"Ooh yooosss! What happened girl" he smiled

I laughed a little at the way he said yes but I had to remind him not to laugh cause I was about to tell him about Jason And my brother.

"Ok remember dude I was telling you about the other day?"

"Who? Justin?"

"Jason boy!" I said lightly slapping his shoulder

"Yea what about him?"

"Ok remember my ex Erik ?"

"Yea that fine ass Black Puerto Rican prince" he said doing the shimmy

"Yea, well a few days ago they was riding around in some hood and the car they were in got shot up real bad"

"Erik and Jason? Were in the car? Together?" He asked shockingly

"Yea"

"Girl they didn't fight over you?" He said

"No boy listen be serious for a sec. Ok so listen all three of em were in the car-"

"Who was the third?" He cut me off

"My brother, terehl"

"Oh no, go ahead "

"So they all in the car and soon as Erik gets out the whole car gets shot up with Terehl and Jason in the car, a part of me thinks Erik has a big part to do with this but from what he told me a couple nights ago kind of matches up I don't know what to think and I don't know what to do" I said

"Wait is that the shooting I heard about on the news, the one down in west palm?"

"Yep, that's the one"

"Oh girl that had to be a set up its either Erik set that up or somebody else did making it seem like Erik did it"

Jackson took the words right out of my mouth kind of like he was in the car with us that night. "Yes that's exactly what he told me".

"Girl yea any old dummy would figure that out, I mean why arrest a guy who was an accessory to the crime and let him go two days later its either he snitched, set it up, or trying to find the real person who did this, girl that's how the system works now days"

Everything Jackson was saying made a lot of sense, but still why would his own cousin try to kill him to get to Jason?

"Ok people I called you in early for a reason obviously" Mr. Burris said "naw I'm just kidding we're gonna be closed until next Monday so I need you to do as much paper work as possible and turn them in by tonight before I get on the plane to Hawaii!" He said happily.

Wooo yay! Everyone In the office screamed and clapped.

"So what's the occasion Mr. Burris?" One of the ladies asked

"It is the day that I make love to my wife on our very special 21st" he laughed.

"I know that's right" Jackson said looking at Sarah with an evil glare.
