Bills POV

I can tell poppy is unsure about this so I stay right by her side with our shoulders touching. She's shaking a bit but I think she'll calm down once she gets to know everyone.

"Hey guys!" They all turn to face me and Poppy. There's mist the border collie, pip the poodle, cleo the jack Russel and loca the collie. I don't know why loca's  here he's never been nice to any of us...

"Hey Bill! Who's your girlfriend?" See this is why I don't like loca. I glare at him and look at poppy she's sinking to the ground and trembling, I wish I never brought her over here. I only wanted her to make some more friends...

"Loca shut up! Hi what's your name?" Mist shoves loca with her nose and talks to poppy in a calming voice.

"My names... poppy" I'm stood right next to poppy and even I can't hear her. Maybe if I introduce her and we all play a game she'll feel better.

"Okay everyone this is poppy. She's my flat mate and friend." I nudge poppy and she gives a weak smile. I wonder why she's so nervous? I guess she's really shy or had a bad experience or something. I feel so bad for her.

"Nice to meet you poppy!" Pip jumps up and down, he's always so full of energy!

"Yeah, nice to meet you poppy!" Cleo smiles at poppy. Well at least poppy isn't trembling quite as much now.

"Let's all go swimming!" I shout and everyone nods. I check our girls are still on the bench and they are, my girl waves at me and I bark in response.

We all head over to the lake. Pip and cleo dive straight in, mist looks more hesitant and loca's staring at poppy. I don't know what his problem is! I stand defensively between him and poppy.

"Ohh don't be such a spoil sport Bill! I can check out any dog I want!" He laughs and shoves me aside. Unfortunately for me I'm clumsy and fall into the water. I can see him walking up to poppy and I paddle to get back to her.

Poppy's POV

I know this dog. Loca was my friend once, until i ruined everything by a stupid mistake. Bill stands in between me and loca. My heart flutters for a second until Bill falls in the lake. Now its just me and loca...

"I haven't seen you in a while, Molly... looks like you've grown." He smirks as I crumple into a ball. I was called Molly for a while when I was in a shelter. A family I had for a day changed my name and bought me a collar with my name on it.

"What do you want?" I manage to get out.

"Ohh why are you scared of me? We used to have fun! I want it to go back to the way it used to be..." He smirks and creeps closer. He wants to torture me and hurt me. By now all the dogs are barking at him to get away. I shake uncontrollably and I can see my girl getting up and running. Before I can move loca pounces and starts biting my ears. I squeal and try to get away but it's useless. He has me pinned down...
