It's a Date!

*Len's POV*

~Saturday Morning~

I woke up to a knock on my door and a maid shyly peaking her head inside and saying "Young master Len it's time to wake up, breakfest is ready." I yawned but got up "Alright i'll be done in a few." She nodded and left and closed the door behind her. I felt my phone buzz and I checked it, it was a message from Rin

Rin: Hey bro, I expect you taking out Hatsune today okay? I already seen this coming your outfit is inside the black dresser with the gold locks. If you don't wear it I'll tell Hatsune some of your baby stories i'm sure she'll be happy to hear them. Be here around 6 pm. You'd better be here on time. I'd be a shame of Hatsune saw some of your baby pictures that I have on my phone >:)
See ya later, don't be late!

I groaned and yelled "Ugh Rin!" I sighed and quickly got dressed into a black shirt and white jeans and grabbed my headphones and put them around my neck. I quickly walked downstairs and quickly walked inside the dining room and sat down. My mom and dad smiled and said "Good morning." I smiled "Morning." My mom sighed "Did Rin stay at Gumi's again without saying anything?" I shook my head and started eating the pancakes in front of me and said "No she stayed with Hatsune, she's gonna make sure that she will be okay around the house." My dad chuckled "My, it seems Rin is really taking responsibility." I laughed "I see it more as she just doesn't wanna be in the house and she wants to get to know her better."

My parents smiled "Either way it's nice to see Rin making friends with the girl." I smiled and I remembered her smile and I could feel myself blush a bit when my mom squealed which suddenly caught dad and I off guard. My mother was standing up doing a little dance and my dad and I stared at her surprised and in shock. Then she said "My little boy has a crush!" I blushed deeply "Mom what are you-?" I was caught off by her saying "You really like Hatsune! Rin just messaged me your going on a date with her!" I blushed harder "Mom please calm down! I've been on dates before so please chill!"

She finally sat down again and took a drink of coffee and said "Well yes you have but you really seem to really like her after all the way you and Rin stood up for her in class and you just blushed when we were talking about her!" I looked at my food embarrassed and took a drink of orange juice and sighed "Don't make a big deal please.." Suddenly my dad spoke up "Len, your mother has a point, we've never seen you act like this about a girl even with past girlfriends." I suddenly wasn't feeling hungry and just ate a banana and said "I'm done here so I'll excuse myself." I walked out of the dining room and walked back up to my room and shut the door and sighed.

Suddenly I panicked I have to take Hatsune out tonight and I don't know where! I grabbed my laptop and started looking up places that would be enjoyable. I came across this nice karaoke restaurant called 'Take a seat or grab a mic.' I smiled and whispered to myself "This seems like fun.."

~Time skip-5:40 pm~

I pulled out the clothes Rin had layed out for me which consisted of Black slacks, a deep green olive vest, a black jacket with gold designs, and a gold tie. I quickly changed and looked myself over in the mirror "Huh.. not bad. Then again.. Rin does know her fashion.." I walked quickly down the stairs hoping not to run into my mom on my way out instead it was my dad. My dad chuckled quietly "Rin's work?" I nodded "Who else's?" He smiled "It's not that bad actually, but listen to me, be careful out there don't drink or do anything you could regret." I didn't understand and then I knew what he meant and I could feel my face grow red. I was speechless and couldn't move but I managed to say "Dad, no! Oh god.. No! We would never! This is just one date!!"

He nodded "Alright then be careful and if I were you i'd leave right now because your mother looking for you trying to give you date pointers." I laughed nervously and quickly walked outside the house and grabbed decided to take a black camero nothing too fancy. I got into the drivers seat and sighed before starting the car and heading towards Hatsune's house praying that Rin hadn't told any embarrassing stories.

*Hatsune's POV*

Rin was making sure every part of my outfit was perfect I stared at myself in the mirror and tried not to lock myself into the bathroom. It was nice but it I felt awkward this isn't something I usually wore. Rin handed me a small white purse "Perfect!" She said and squealed. I was hoping Len didn't think this was too much. I stared at myself sadly in the mirror and thought 'What if he thinks I look stupid?' Rin stopped fussing for a second and said "You okay?" I didn't respond right away but I nodded "Yeah i'm fine, just nervous i've never been on a date other than going with Mikuo to the dance." Rin stared at me "You've never gone a date then?" I shook my head and she smiled "There's nothing to it trust me, it will be fun." I nodded deciding to trust her.

I heard the doorbell ring and Rin said "I'll get it." She walked out of my room and left me alone with my thoughts. I closed my eyes trying to hold myself together. Then Rin poked her head inside and said "It's time, you'll be fine, kay?" I nodded slowly and smoothed out my dress trying to get rid of any wrinkles and slowly walked out of my room and walked downstairs. I stopped once I was at the bottom I smiled at Len and said "Hi." Is all I could say. Len stared at me for a few minutes and I thought to myself 'I knew it I look bad!' I just said "Is something wrong?" He shook his head "No, you look amazing.." I could feel myself blush at his compliment and said "Thank you, you lookk good yourself." He smiled "Thanks." He held out his hand "So.. shall we go?" I stared at his hand wondering what I was supposed to do and it hit me that I was supposed to take it. Shyly I put my hand in his and nodded.

We got inside the car and Rin shouted from my door "Have fun! Len you do anything stupid and you'll regret it! And Hatsune! Just have fun!" She laughed and waved and closed the door. I sat in the passenger seat and could feel myself blush out of embarrassment. I sighed and Len laughed "Sorry about her she gets.. carried away sometimes." I laughed "You don't say?" We both smiled and I said "So.. where are we going?" Len laughed "Well I hope you weren't expecting some fancy over the top dinner." I smiled "No thank god." Len smiled "How about a karaoke restaurant?" I thought about the idea and nodded "Sounds like fun." Len said "Oh heads up it turns out they always pick someone from the audience in random and make you sing." I stared at him "Your kidding.." He shook his head "Nope but don't worry I saw online this place gets packed so the odds of getting picked are slim plus some people volunteer to sing."

I sighed in relief "Oh thank God.." Soon we approached a large building with colorful lights and it said 'Take a Seat or Grab a Mic' I smiled and Len said "Anyways if we got picked I can sing pretty well and you?" I looked at the building more and said "I think I'm okay with singing." We got out of the car and I could see some teens around our age and some older adults. Len walked towards the restaurant and I followed him. When we were seated I looked around it was so colorful and pretty, the walls painted black but splashed with many different colors that glow in the dark. In the front and center was a small stage with a Dj on the left side. On the stage there were two or three mics. A waiter came by to get our order we both ordered burgers and fries.

I smiled as I took the place in all around us teens buzzed with gossip or jokes. Everyone was having a good time, Len and I joked around a bit commenting on certain singers liking how they did and such, before I knew it an two hours and a half passed by. I was having fun just hanging out with Len and seeing others sing. Then Len said "It's 8:30 wanna go?" I shrugged "Up to you." He nodded "Maybe we should it's been an two hours and a half and Rin might lose it on us." I laughed "Your right let's go." We both stood up when the Dj said "It's time for the random singers to show up! Any volunteers?" Both Len and I looked around but one was volunteering when the Dj saw us he smiled "It seems this young lady and young man have decided to volunteer!" I panicked, everyone else around us cheered and the Dj said "You guys were standing up i'm sure you were gonna volunteer!"

I looked over at Len and we both started to protest when the Dj said "Come on I have a great song for you guys to sing!" Somehow Len and I ended up on the stage some people must've helped us to the stage because I don't remember moving. Len took one mic and handed it to me and he took another for himself. I could feel myself shaking, the whole crowd was staring at us.. I only panicked more when Len squeezed my hand and said "It's alright calm down.." I took a deep breath and nodded and said to myself 'Even if I wanted to move the people would not take kindly to a quitter.' Soon the music played and Len said "The lyrics are up on the screen just follow the lyrics." I froze when the music played I recognized this song automatically, Len didn't seem to know it and I thanked God for that but he was about to know it...

I took a deep breath and I knew I had to start off the song I waited for when it was time to sing and when it happened I just let the words come out...
