Halloween Masquerade Ball

~Saturday day of the ball~

*Hatsune's POV*
I woke up as I felt sunlight hit my face I guess I forgot to close the curtains last night. The whole conversation with Len ran through my head I knew it wasn't Rin, Rin would've texted something different if she even knew. I hadn't forgiven him of course but I wasn't as angry. He made an attempt but no matter what I thought of the image of Luka's lips on Len's hurt me and I wasn't sure why but I didn't want it to hurt! I sighed and got out of bed I picked up my phone it read 10:30 am. I covered my face and whispered to myself "I don't even wanna go to the ball anymore.." I heard a ding from my phone and I looked at it, it was Mikuo. I read the text

Mikuo: Hey is it cool if I come around 6? The dance doesn't start til 7 and maybe we could get a bite to eat. Plus do you mind if we double date? You me, Kaito and his date?
Hatsune: Alright 6 works and food sounds great lol. And I don't mind Kaito is layed back and relaxed. But who's his date?
Mikuo: Personally i'm not sure he wouldn't tell me he said it was a surprise. >//<
Hatsune: Huh.. werid but it sounds like fun. Well I gotta go i'll see you about 6?
Mikuo: Yup. See ya.

I sighed I wonder who's Kaito's date is. I closed my eyes for a few mintues and started cleaning my room it wasn't messy at all I just needed something to distract myself. I moved with some difficulty my dresser to the left side of my room and moved my tv towards the front of my bed. I kept my small indoor chair that hung from the celling where it was I rearranged my throw pillows on the chair. I ended up sweeping and mopping the whole house. I then started vacuuming the rooms with capret and finally I approached my parents room I took a deep breath and walked inside.

Everything was in it's place I vacuumed without paying much attention. I moved the bed to vacuum underneath I started to move the bed back when I stepped on the certain part of the floor and it squeaked. I got on my knees and pulled on a floor board. It budged lightly like something was underneath with curiosity and some pulling I managed to pull off the floor board. I reached inside and found a small box. With shaking hands I opened it and there was a note it read

'Hatsune,
If your reading this we're probably already dead, we expected this and I hope you can forgive us for not saying anything. Your our pride and joy, we love you so much. We hope you use this one day for a special or formal occasion we'll be watching over you our little darling. Remember we love you so much. Your our everything our little girl.

I could feel tears running down my face as I held the letter closely to my heart. They saw it coming they knew they were gonna die but they never said anything. I slowly and shakely put the letter down and looked inside the box I pulled away a small sheet of paper and inside was two ruby bracelets with a black diamond necklace and a small silver ring. I held them and felt more tears fall down my face. I sighed and put them back in the box and put the floor board back and pushed the bed back. I have been cleaning the house for a while I wonder what time it is. I picked up my phone and said 3:50 pm. I yelped and quickly put everything away.

I jumped into the shower and came out after twenty minutes. I blow dried my hair and plugged in my curling iron and waited for it to heat up. I opened my closet and gently pulled out my dress and slipped it over my head and adjusted it right I pulled out the mask and gloves. I searched more in the closet until I found black heels and slipped them on. I put the gloves on next and picked up the curling iron and soon started curling my hair.

~Time skip 2 hours later~

I looked myself over in my room I hadn't put on my mask yet I looked over at the box and pulled out the jewelry and put it on. Everything looked pretty well. I chose to let my teal hair down and curl it. I had texted Mikuo my address. I heard a knock on the door and I got up to answer it and at the door was Mikuo. He was dressed in white slacks but they were Princely somehow with a white long sleeved that flared out a bit when they were at the wrists and white gloves he also had a deep blue vest that had silvery shimmery designs. He had black boots and in his hand was a royal blue mask. I smiled "Mikuo you look great!" He blushed a little and said "H-Hatsune, you look amazing.." I blushed lightly at his compliment "Thank you."
