[ second person pov ]

david, danielle, and evelyn were walking around town, and evelyn couldn't help but notice how empty sherwood seemed. it was like a ghostown, coincidentally. there were store owners, and families running to close up shops and catch a bus. they were all terrified the killer would come for them too, she guessed.

"damn, it's quiet out here." evelyn comments, not bothering to look at either of them.

"sure is," david said looking around. "have you seen that film—"

danielle cut him off before her brother could finish. "hey eve, what if they made a movie about you? who do you think would play you?" she asked curiously unwrapping a lollipop she pulled out of her jean pocket.

"i don't even want to imagine that." evelyn crosses her arms over her chest.

"i see you as a young meg ryan, in my opinion." david replies.

evelyn laughed. "thanks david. with my luck i'd get a young tori spelling."

"hey, will you girls give me a minute?" david spotted the sheriff a few feet away. "don't go too far okay?"

the girls nodded, heading to the local grocery store across the street because calum insisted they bring food to the party. "is ashton gonna be there tonight?" evelyn asked danielle as they walked.

"he better not be," danielle rolled her eyes. "i told calum to keep his mouth shut. i think we can live without the endorphin rush for one night."

evelyn smiled as the two approached the store and went inside. as they neared the snack aisle, danielle began skipping down on the tile and throwing random things into the cart.

"ashton's right you know." evelyn sighed pushing the cart. danielle gave her a questioning look, indicating for evelyn to emphasise. "whenever he touches me i just can't relax."

danielle sighed, "so you have a few intimacy issues as a result of your mother's untimely death. so what? he can get over it. it's no big deal, eve."

evelyn opened a freezer door and grabbed some popsicles, "yeah, but he has been so patient with me and all the sex stuff. i mean, how many guys do you know that would put up with a girlfriend who's sexually anorexic?"

danielle rolled her eyes with a smile on her face as she pushed the cart. "ashton and his penis don't deserve you, alright?"

evelyn laughed as the two girls walked up to the register and paid for the food.

"how long did you and calum wait?" evelyn asked, stacking the food items on the counter. "until you know, you guys had sex?"

danielle thought for a moment. "not long. i mean, we've been together for almost a year and we waited for like a month maybe. i don't know, i trust calum."

evelyn nodded, putting the sacked food back in the cart and taking it out to david's car.

david walked off after leaving the two girls to shop. he went behind the building of a barber shop, where he earlier saw the sheriff.

"deputy ross, where the hell have you been?" the sheriff asked, taking a drag of a cigarette.

"i was just keeping an eye on evelyn and danielle." he replied, soon pointing to the sheriff's cigarette. "hey i thought you quit smoking?"
