*12 Years Prior*
Louis was sitting on a wooden bench of Palm Springs Elementary School. It was his first day of being in the first grade, being the new kid from Doncaster and all. Louis wasn't much of a social butterfly as one would say.He was more of a cute selectively-social hedgehog, only interacting with family and family friends.
Around his family, he was this loud, bubbly kid that rambled on for hours on end. He would laugh and talk and interact with everyone as if he was a social butterfly!
Hell, he would even have the guts to start up a conversation!
Alas, that is only when he's with his family.
It's an entirely different ballgame when he's in school, or anywhere outside of his home.
The boy was sitting on the bench eating his peanut butter and jelly sandwich when a shadow appeared in front of him. Louis furrowed his eyebrows before looking up to see a pair of autumn, brown eyes.
"Hi, there!" The person greeted Louis in a cheery voice.
Louis just looked at the person in shock.
He wasn't exactly sure what he was supposed to do when this happens. Usually, people would leave him alone or not even bother talking to him.
But this was the first time someone was attempting to interact with him.
"Okay, so I'm assuming you don't talk much?" The person asked.
Louis just blinked at the person, still confused on how to react to this situation. The person just sat down next to Louis and smiled before reaching into their lunch bag.
They took out a vanilla pudding cup with a spoon before handing it over to Louis. The boy's eyes blinked in confusion before the person spoke again.
"I really don't like vanilla pudding. You can have it if you want," the person said.
Louis smiled as he took the pudding cup and whispered a small "thank you" to the person before peeling the lid open.
"My name is Bonnie by the way," the person, now named Bonnie, stated as she placed her hand in front of Louis.
"M' Louis," He shyly responded before shaking Bonnie's hand with a gigantic smile.

*7 Years After*
Ever since that day, Bonnie and Louis have been the best of friends forever more. Their families were glad to hear when the two decided to become friends. They would have sleepovers at each other's homes, eat with each other every day at lunch, and they would tell each other almost everything about one another.
I know it does sound quite a bit weird as to why they wouldn't tell each other everything. However, there are just some things in life that we don't need to know.
They trust one another and are always the first to second person to tell about the exciting or horrible news.
When they reached high school, Louis was certain that he was definitely gay. It did take him a while to realize that he was more interested in boys than girls, but to confirm it, he was dared to kiss Josh Devine at a Halloween party during truth or dare.Thankfully, Josh either forgot about the kiss or just decided to never bring it up to keep Louis from embarrassment, but from that moment on, he knew he was gay.
The scary part for him was telling Bonnie about it. He told his parents first and, thank the gods above, they accepted him for it. Plus, they already knew he was gay way before he realized it.Now it was Bonnie's turn to find out about the news.

Louis was walking towards Bonnie's house from another dreaded school day. His hands were sweaty and shaky while his breathing was uneven.
He knew Bonnie loved him like a brother, but there were some people in life who didn't accept people like him rather well. He was thankful that his family wasn't that kind of people, but he was on edge because he didn't know if Bonnie was.
Taking a few deep breaths while knocking on her door, Louis tried to calm himself. About 5 seconds later, Louis Tomlinson was met with a messy hair lazy clothed Bonnie Werheartess who put a lazy smile on her face as soon as she saw him.
"Hey Tommo," she greeted him as Bonnie went in for a hug.
"Hi Bons," Louis greeted back as he entered her home.
"What brings you over to my place today? Besides the fact that we're best friends and well, we've been doing this for a while," Bonnie giggled before jumping onto the couch.
"Nothing big or important, but there is something that I need to tell you," Louis began.
Bonnie motioned for Louis to sit on the couch as the two of them sat criss-cross applesauce before holding each other's hands. There was a bit of silence in the room, making Louis even more nervous than he already was.
Five minutes of silence has gone by before Louis decided to finally break it.
"Okay, please promise me something before I tell you this," he began, "Promise me you won't judge me for what I'm about to tell you and please don't stop being my friend over this."
Bonnie pinkie-promised Louis, knowing that this news was really serious like it will make them or break them.
Louis closed his eyes before the words began to fall out of his mouth.
"I'm gay," he finally said before covering his face and manhood, prepared for if Bonnie flips out on him.
What he wasn't prepared for, was for Bonnie to hug and laugh at the boy before pulling away. Louis opened his eyes to see Bonnie laughing at the poor boy before crushing him with another bear hug.
"Was this all you were worried about?!" Bonnie asked.
Louis shook his head timidly before Bonnie began to giggle once again.
"Louis, I've been your best friend since the first grade. I love you like a brother, no matter how much you tend to annoy me and pester me and shit-"
Bonnie was cut off by the wave of a pillow hitting her head.
"No cursing!" Louis sternly said to Bonnie, but with a playful look in his eyes.
"Okay okay, sorry! At any rate, the point is that I do not care about your sexuality. You could be freaking marrying a unicorn for all I care!" Bonnie laughed.
Louis looked at his best friend with a new wave of relief relishing over his entire body.He hugged Bonnie and thanked her for a billion time before the two went back to their old ways of watching TV, YouTube, and Netflix while procrastinating on their homework.
