"Hi Natalie." I heard Dylan say. I turned my head and looked at him. "You know who I am?" I asked him curiously. He chuckled. "Well, Mr. Williams told me to sit next to Natalie, and this was the only seat open, so I'm hoping you're Natalie." He nods his head to the boy sitting to the left of him. "Well, unless he's Natalie." We both laughed. I shook my head. Wow, could I be anymore stupid? "Right, right. Yeah, I'm Natalie. Hi Dylan." I nervously laughed. He changed his expression. "Wait, how do you know my name?" I started to protest, but he started to giggle. "I'm only messing with ya, Nat." he smiled at me. He had a nice smile. And nice eyes. And a nice personality. Wait. What the fuck? I barely know the kid. I better slow it down. I start liking people so easily. It's the same thing that happened with Derek. I bit my lip. "You alright?" I realized I zoned out. I shook myself out of it. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Sorry about that." I threw on a fake smile. No need for the new kid to find out what happened, right? The bell rang and I nearly jumped out of my seat. Everyone collected their stuff and started to head out. As I got my books, one of the boys, I think his name was Aaron, smacked them out of my hands. Him and his friends laughed. "Oops, sorry freak." They all giggled. As I went to pick up the books, I heard Dylan. "Why don't you watch it, asshole."  No. No. He can't defend me. No. They'll just make fun of him too. I don't want that. Aaron stopped and turned around and got in Dylan's face. "You better watch who you're talking to new kid. Don't get yourself hurt on the first day." I watched in horror. Dylan clenched his fists. No. Oh God no. Aaron scoffed and backed up. "Pathetic." He said as he walked out with his friends. I'm trying to figure out what just happened. I looked down. "Y-y-you didn't have to do that." I stammered. I couldn't bare to look at him. "Hey, it's alright. They were being a couple of dicks. But they should never talk to a girl like that." I looked up at him. He gave me a polite half-smile. "Thanks. I'm gonna be late for my next class. I'll see you around?" I told him. "Yeah, see you around." I hurried off to French. That was nice of him. The day went on. By lunch I was back to eating lunch in the girl's bathroom stall. I didn't have anymore classes with Dylan. Which sucked, he seemed like an okay guy. Until he starts acting like everyone else.

*Dylan's POV*

After saying goodbye to Natalie I walked to English class. I wonder why those kids were being mean to her. She seems nice. She's really pretty too. I had to try and keep my eyes off her. Trying my best not to freak anyone out on the first day, but I doubt I won't. The day seemed to go on forever. I looked for Nat at lunch but I couldn't find her. Some girls invited me to sit with them, but I politely declined. Not my type of crowd I guess. I sat down at an empty table when I felt my phone vibrate.

*Unknown* : Dylan, where the hell are you? We have to close this deal today.

Dylan: Shit. I'll have to walk. I'll be there soon.

*Unknown* : Hurry the hell up! Or you'll get us all in trouble!

Fuck. How am I supposed to get out of this?

*Natalie's POV*

After lunch was over, I went to my next class, Honor's English. We were still in the introductory stage of the class when the fire alarm went off. The teacher muttered something and put his hand on his head. We followed his instructions and got in a line and filed outside. The fire department came, but it turns out some kid pulled it as a joke. After standing outside for a good 10 minutes, we start to go back inside. Just when my class starts to go in, I turn  and see Dylan sneaking out to the side of the school. He looks around and starts heading towards the trail in the woods behind the school. Where the hell is he going? It's none of my buisiness, I guess. By the time we were all inside, it was time to leave. I got my stuff quickly and walked to my locker. I put what I didn't need back, and walked out the front entrance. I just can't take the bus. I'll have to walk home. I looked at the trail behind the school. Where did Dylan go?
