PS: WHEN'S FERNY GOING TO UPDATE HEH
Apartment living room on side>> just say the TV's bigger k bye.
-------------------------------------------
I love my new apartment. Zayn helped me find a new one and he ended up buying me the whole floor. I'm spoilt with his money. We decorated it together so it's all modern and nice.
Though I haven't seen him lately, wonder why.
Jennifer and Natalie are over, examining my new apartment. Jennifer and Natalie live in a penthouse together, which one of their dad's bought. They're thinking of moving into this one though which is quite funny. They're both in my living room now, just sitting on the couches.
I watch as Natalie stands up. “Ay Rora, I gotta go… so I’ll see you tonight?”
“Tonight?” I question.
“Y’know the party… no? Um, I guess not… Zayn was hosting it… thought you knew…”
My eyebrows raise, “Excuse me? Zayn hosting a party and me not being invited? I don’t know what’s worse, him not telling me or me not being invited.”
“Oh shit bro, I’m going to stay with you. No best friend of mine stays behind! Plus, I really don’t like alcohol, no one can force me to drink it and so I am the Liam of this tiny group.” Nat replies, indicating Jen and I.
I laugh, “Okay Nat. Just go to your apartment, grab your stuff and you can sleepover.”
“What about me?” Jen exclaims.
“You too Jen, now go!”
I laugh as they race each other down the stairs. I lean against the door watching them disappear for closing it. I pull my hair up into a ponytail in frustration.
“Why the fuck wouldn’t Zayn tell me?” I hiss angrily. I mean, he’s my boyfriend for God’s sake! I might be overreacting a bit, but to be honest, I don’t care.
My phone dings as somebody sends me a text.
Miss ya babe xo :) Zayn
Oh the nerve of him. Seriously he just texts me saying he misses me but doesn’t tell me he’s hosting a party?!
Oh Lawd, he’s getting it.
I hope you’ll miss me like that at your party 2nite, huh. Aurora
I turn my phone off; right now I don’t give a shit on what he has to say.
I sit down on the couch and just watch the tele. I wait for the girls to come ‘round before I think of something.
I dial up a long-lost friend.
“Rora? Wait you can’t spea—“
“Hey Jo,” I grin through the phone
She shrieks, “KRIS! KRIS! COME HERE YOU LITTLE NUTBAG. SHE SPEAKS! SHE SPEAKS!”
“Who speaks J? Seriously, you have to tell me first.”
“RORA! SHE SPEAKS! SHE SPEAKS!”
Kris starts shrieking and squealing, “I’m so happy right now! What’s up baby girl?”
I laugh, “Nothing really. Come over for a sleepover? My apartment, in 10 minutes? Bring loads of food, pillows, drinks, blankets, movies etcetera.”
“On it girly, we’ll be there in 5. See ya later gator!”
She hangs up and I grin. Five girls, one apartment and loads of horror movies.
I start getting pillows and blankets and start setting them up in the living room. I grab bowls of chips, sweets and all these other junk food and order takeaway. I put them on the coffee table in the living room.
The doorbell rings and I look through the peephole. Jo and Kris are standing at the door, Nat and Jen climbing up the stairs behind them. They have a bag or small suitcase each with pillows resting under their armpits.
I swing the door open and they all squeal.
“SLEEPOVER!” Jo and Kris yell together and run into my apartment. I laugh as Nat and Jen run in after them. I close the door behind me and lock it.
I sit down on the couch in the living room, watching everybody in a silence. Awkward or not, I don’t know but it was just unusually silent.
“So what movie shall we watch first?” Natalie asks, wiggling her eyebrows at us all.
“Paranormal Activity?” Jo suggests. I shake my head, “That’s for when it gets dark.”
“She’s the Man?” Jen suggests and we all agree. Popping the disc into the DVD we wait for the movie to start.
4 hours later
“Alright girlies, it’s time for Paranormal Activity,” Kris exclaims reaching to put the disc in. I get the freshly-made popcorn on my lap and wait for it to start. I grab as much blankets and pillows and bury myself in them.
I’m not a horror type, okay?
Nat grins, “I’ve seen this way too many times.”
Jen rolls her eyes, “Don’t spoil it or it might not be as scary.”
“Spoiling it would make it even scarier because then you wouldn’t know when she would die!”
“NATALIE!” Three voices in sync yell.
“Sorry.” She winces. “But my ears?” She points to her ears and then laughs it off.
“Shush!”
The movie starts and we all huddle close to together.
It’s the first night in the movie and Kris whimpers, “I’m scared.”
I shiver and shove my face in my popcorn hoping it would help. It doesn’t, but I look up anyway just to see the door creaking and moving by itself. I dig myself deeper into the couch and wait for it to become day in the movie.
As the clock turns into 4 am, there’s a knock at my actual door.
All the girls scream and I run to turn the lights on.
Nat grabs a lamp to protect herself while Kris and Jo cling to each other for life.
“It’s over,” Jen whimpers, “our lives are over!”
Nat takes a step forward before the door swings open.
We all scream as a shadow stands in the doorway. All black, from head to toe.
“ZAYN! I’m going to murder you with this lamp!” Nat hisses.
“You scared us to death!”
He shrugs before turning to me.
“Jen I—“
“Save it for the therapist ‘cause I don’t want to hear it.”
I slam the door on his face and turn back to the girls. Inside, I'm hurting but it doesn't matter because I realise, he doesn't tell me anything that's going on in his life. He spaces out everytime I ask and now? Now he barely has 'time' for me anymore.
“Who’s up for another movie?”
