Surprise?
“Why did you never tell us you could talk?” El grumbled, sinking into her seat.
I rolled my eyes, “Well, I had a few problems with my dad when I was younger, so…”
“Who cares!? He’s not here anymore so talk forever more!” She declared, standing up and raising her glass full of orange juice.
“Calm down El, you’re turning into Lou,” Liam chuckled, amused.
“Oh shush, Liam! We all know that you’re just jealous of my awesome skills and ninja lik—”
“We get it El,” I laughed and let myself lean on Zayn.
“Who said I wanted your head there?” Zayn teased, lifting up my head from his shoulder.
“I did, now leave my head alone!”
“Why so serious?” Niall smirked, sitting down.
“When did Niall get here?”
“Who’s serious?”
“Where has my sweet innocent angel gone?” A familiar Canadian voice ringed through my ears.
Everyone – and I mean everyone – stopped to see who said that.
I turned my head, “Jennifer?”

“When did you get here Jen?”
“When did you start talking?”
“Answer me first,”
“No, you answer me first.”
“Why?” I whined, plopping down on the couch.
“Because I said so!”
“Ugh fine. Well, when I was younger, my mother died and my dad blamed it on me and told me never to talk again.”
“… and yet you never told me!?”
I shot her a look saying, are-you-kidding-me?
“Oh right… you wouldn’t speak so… Hah!”
