Here I am, lying on my small and cold couch, for the seventh day in a row. After the little accident in the kitchen, Calum didn't trust the situation so he took me to the doctor. Because not only there was blood, there was also pain. A lot of it. Calum was right though; I broke my wrist. Plus, there had been quite a lot pieces of glass in my arm and in my back. the doctor could manage to get them out, but the wounds are taking time to heal. The doctor told me I had to rest, at least 10 days until the wounds would be healed.

So I did; I took my rest. Not that I could go somewhere if I really wanted it, because I've never been alone in the house since last week. Whenever Calum wasn't looking after me, because he had to go writing, or had to go somewhere else, One of the other boys would come over. When Luke'd come over, we'd talk about school, people, fun things and stuff like that. We talk a lot, for two socially awkward penguins.

Michael would bring me some food, DVD's or Video games. I used to think that he was just a sweetheart who thought I would be hungry, that I was or am too weak to make my own food and that I was bored. But I should've known better, of course. It's just an excuse to have a 'game buddy'. It's nice to have him around though.

Ashton would always come together with Vera. The perfect couple. They are just meant to be, and sometimes I wish I'd have a relationship like theirs. Cute, fun, sweet, romantic, no drama. My insecurities and my past wouldn't let that happen to me though, that's for sure. Not to forget that I'm definitely not a romantic person. Whenever a boy wants to kiss me, or hug me, it becomes all awkward. Then I just stand there, giggling and blushing like an idiot not knowing what to do, before I walk away. That's the kind of person I am.

'Eloise, can we talk for a bit?' Luke asks, returning from the kitchen. 'It's not that I can go somewhere, so yeah why not.' I chuckle and try to pick myself up from the uncomfortable position I was in, before Luke sits down on the couch. 'So, what do you want to talk about Lucas?'

'Can we talk about your past maybe? Look, I know it's really personal and you may not want to talk about it. But I've noticed how insecure you are, how you don't trust people, and how you don't want to get too attached to others. Why is that?'

'Luke, don't think I don't trust you, because I do. It just takes some time. I've been hurt many times and a lot of bad things happened in my life. But like you said, and I don't want to sound like a bitch, but I really don't want to talk about it, okay?'

'I'm sorry, it's okay.'

'Okay.' I repeat him.

'Okay.'

-

'Elooooo!' Someone suddenly wraps their arms around my neck. I turn myself around to see Vera looking at me with a huge grin. 'How the hell did you get in?' 'You gave Calum the key, remember?' Her answer makes me even more confused than I was before. 'Yeah, but did he give it to you??'

'No. He's here, Ashton and Michael are too. Because someone here needs a house party with her best buddy and four sexy idiots!' I laugh at her, before looking away to see the boys walking into the room. Luke must've noticed them before I did, because he already got up from the couch and is now standing with them, doing some cute 'bromance things' with Calum.

I watch as Ashton approaches the couch; He probably isn't coming for me but for Vera. He gives her a quick kiss and I smile, knowing him too well. 'How are you feeling?' Ashton asks when he turns to face me. 'I'm alright actually, No pain anymore.' I answer, realizing that I haven't been in pain since I woke up this morning. 'Do you feel good enough to go clubbing with us tomorrow, and check out the new club down the street?' Michael asks excitedly, now also coming closer towards us. 'I'm 16, I won't get in smartass!' I laugh, knowing I'm not the only one. 'Me neither!' Luke pouts, Joining the group with Calum following him. Exactly.

'Awh, I forgot, sorry! that sucks man.' Michael sighs, walking out of the room into the kitchen. Probably to get some food. 'But you can go without me? I mean, I don't really like clubbing anyway.' I assure the others. I know they really want to go clubbing, and I also know they won't go without me because they'd feel sorry for me (and Luke).

-

With 'house party', they meant 'let's watch a film'. And with that, they meant 'Eloise get up and bring us some food while we wait for the film to start.' So, I get up and walk to the kitchen to find some popcorn.

'Need some help?' I turn around to see Calum, leaning against the fridge.

'Ehm, could you pass me that bowl?' I ask nervously, pointing at the bowl on the kitchen counter next to him.

'Of course, Here you go.'

'Thanks.' I awkwardly place the bowl in front of me, to fill it with popcorn. But even though I tried my hardest not to look his way, I could feel his eyes burning on me.

'Is there something?' I ask politely, sounding as confident as I can.

'Do you want to hang out, tomorrow maybe?' His question makes me drop the popcorn, and I turn around, now facing the boy whose eyes are the most beautiful ones I've ever seen.

'Wait, are you asking me out on a date?'

'Do you want it to be a date?'

'No.'

'Then no.' He says, without any emotion, without any facial expressions. It's hard to say if he's dissapointed, or relieved right now. or maybe neither one of them.

'Just hanging out. We can go to the park to get ice-cream, and then we could walk a bit or sit on one of the benches to feed the ducks, I don't know. And don't say no because you don't like Ice-cream, because everyone likes ice-cream!' He continues, making me giggle with the ice-cream comment.

'Alright then, but only if they have strawberry flavor, and you have to pay because I'm broke.' I smile, looking down at my feet and realizing I just said yes to him.

'Great! now let's go back to the others.' He says excited. I nod and walk out of the kitchen with the bowl filled with popcorn, and Calum follows me.

I sit down on the floor next to Luke, leaning with my back against the couch which Ashton, Vera and Michael are sitting on. Calum plants himself on my other side and touches my hand lightly before he gives me a goofy smile.

Saying yes to him and this whole 'hang-out' thing might have been a bad decision.
