The 16 years old Eloise has lived in a small village in New Zealand her whole life, but after having a huge fight with her parents once again and running away from home, she decides to move to Sydney on her own. Eloise's been depressed for 1,5 year and being honest, she doesn't mind leaving her old life behind and starting a new one in the big city. She's been bullied for as long as she can remember, doesn't have any friends, and the war in her mind is still at its worst.
Arriving in Sydney, Eloise visites an old friend, Vera, who she's known since they were both young. she meets Vera's boyfriend Ashton, who apparently is in a band called 5 Seconds of Summer with his best mates. And as cute as they all are, One of them really catches her eye, and he seems to like her too. But how can you love someone else, or let them love you, if you don't even love yourself?
