From Guardian Angel to Death Angel

There was once two close angels who truly cherish each other. Their names are Nathan and Angeline, they are not a couple but their devotion to each other is enough to make you envious and be amazed. One day Nathan noticed his friend starts following a life story of a human boy living on earth. He can’t see what’s so special about that specific human boy but he knew Angeline smiles more frequently than before. He then asked her if she loves the human boy.

Angeline blushed due to the sudden question; no doubt she has an interest with the boy living on earth. Nathan couldn’t explain further as he felt a bit of pain in his heart. This is the 1st time he felt this kind of pain, he was not wounded physically yet the pain hurts more. Day by day as he see Angeline watches over the human boy, his heart is being crushed so he decided to ask her again;

“What’s so special about him?” confused on what’s his feeling right now, he bluntly starts a conversation. “You knew it’s forbidden to love a human being. We are angels a higher being more loved by God...”

She looked at Nathan, she knew he is confuse, she stood-up and walks closer to him, she touches his cheeks and said; "It's indeed a mystery, how and when will you realized you've fallen in love already..." she rubs his cheeks as she knew how her friend feels, "I too, don't realized this kind of feeling exist within me, it suddenly surfaced within the depths of my heart like it's flowing with joy and happiness at the same time I can also feel pain. The more I express my emotions the more pain I can feel inside, maybe because I'm starting to like him in his own pace that made my day great. I always pray for him although in the end I knew I can't expect something in return but still I love him enough that I'm willing to watch over him up until he dies."

Shock as to what Angeline told her, he looked at the face of the human boy. He tries to remember it and walks away.

A day passed by Angeline tries to check where the human boy is. He is nowhere to be found and as she tried to look everywhere, not a sign even a slightest clue where he is. Until she remembered something that made her tremble, she tries to deny it but Nathan approached  her with a happy tone.

"I remembered what you said to me..." his voice is calm and soft while talking to Angeline; "That you'll watch him until he dies, well I can see devoted you are to him. Too much that I can't forgive you. I thought we will be together like this forever. Why did you betray me?"

Angeline looked at Nathan in the eyes. She knew what happened to the human boy she keeps staring everyday. As she trembles with fear and anger, she still tries to reach Nathan and hold his hand.

"You knew it's a taboo to make a sin..." as Angeline grabs his hand tightly, she shread tears and starts crying. "Why did you do it? Why do you need to stain yourself with blood? Is it because of me? I didn't betray you and I love you with all my heart." She paused for a bit and continues to hold his hand, "But you wanted more than that, we started in a simple way and yet you want me only for yourself. That is..." she was hesitant on saying the next words but she build up courage to say it; "Greed... You have been stained with greed... Tell me, where is he? Where is he??" she cried non-stop begging for Nathan to help her.

Nathan looked at his hand, his hand that was stained in blood. Although he already wiped his hands clean he knew that the stain will never be removed within his heart. He then felt a pain in his chest but it's not the pain he used to feel before; "Guilt..." He said it loud and clear, he felt the guilt within him. As he tries to look at his hand a tear rolls down in his cheeks.

Angeline rushed after she was told where the human boy is. Of course she couldn't find him, he is located to where everything is a middle. A place where you're not at peace at all. The gateway between heaven, earth and hell.
