While walking down the hallway, thinking I was safe from the egotistical black hole of Benjamin white, I find myself back in the janitor's closet and guess who was in there?

Just guess? You got your answer?

That's right! Mr. Benjamin White.

"Look Princess I have no clue what you're thinking, but you can't go on a date with that guy."

"Why because your black, little, jealous heart can't take it?' I retort. The glimmer in his eyes is back and brighter than ever.

"Look he's a bad influence-"

"And you're any better? Look, Ben, right? It's barely been my first day and the emotional roller coaster that you've put me on is getting annoying extremely fast. All you're doing is playing games with me."

His smirk disappears leaving the trace of a smile and then a frown.

"Look doll," he says as he puts his hand on my cheek, sending the butterflies in my stomach into a rampage. "I'm not playing a game."

"Really doesn't seem like it?"

"Look Princess just don't-"

"Look Baby," I said, looking straight into his bubbly, brown eyes that lit up when he heard the word. "I don't take orders from you."

I lightly slap his cheek, give him a wink, and walk out the room, as confident as I have ever been when it comes to talking to the opposite gender.

Before I pay attention, I'm running to my locker as if it could hide a girl whose heart is about to beat out of her chest.

"Yo Swan," I hear someone say.

Austin...

"Hey," he says as sweetly as possible as he grabs my hands. "Why are you hands so cold?"

He puts them close to his face and warms them up using his breath. In a way it's romantic and in another way, it's kind of gross. I smile at his kind gesture and his eyes gleam with content.

"I'm really happy that you said yes," Austin said in between breaths.

"Well I had to make friends some way."

"So you're just using me to get friends?" He asks, puppy-dog-eyes on full blast. Ok, this dude is either way to into me or I'm just that great.

"Oh God. Austin, No. I was just messing around."

"Oh," his gaze became brighter. "Okay."

"Yeah. Anyways it's been a hell of a first day."

He smiles. "I hope I didn't make it too hard."

"Haha yeah," I laugh awkwardly. He did nothing except be nice to me, in a weird jock type of way.

"I'm excited," he says after a period of quiet while he kept on warming my hands.

"What for?"

"Tomorrow."

"Oh Right. Our date."

"Yup. Be ready by 8 okay?"

"Okay. Where are we going?"

"That's a surprise," he says smiling sweetly.

We end up looking into each other's eyes for longer than I expected.

"I have to go," he whispers close to my face.

I lean in closer. "Yeah me too." I look up and his forest green eyes burned with a zeal.

"Damn it."

"What?"

"I want to kiss you so damn bad."

I stay quiet, wondering what I should say, what I should do. If Ben saw us kiss, I'd be over. Wait, why do I care what Ben thinks?

"What are you waiting for then?" I finally mutter.

He gently grabs my face and kisses me, ever so lightly. His eyes flutter open and are filled with an utter happiness that makes me smile.

"See you tomorrow."

"Yeah. See you." I whisper.

He walks off and I bite my bottom lip. Whoa that was... something. I look around to make sure no one was looking and I was safe. I walk out unto the parking lot and get in my mom's car.

-\-\-\

"How was your first day, honey?" My mom asks as I hop into the car.

"I have a date tomorrow."

"WHAT?" My mom exclaims.

"Yup."

"Huh... Seems like you made more than friends really quickly."

"Mum, you have no idea," I breathe out letting out a big sigh.

"So this boy... What's his name? What does he look like?"

I dive into conversation about Austin with my Mom. Not once do I mention Ben, knowing that if I do, my mom wouldn't stop pestering me about him and Austin.

"He sounds like a nice guy," she hums.

"Yeah. You'll get to see him tomorrow. I just hope Dad doesn't go nuclear when he finds out about him."

"Hmmm, knowing your father, you better warm him up to the idea before telling him."

"Haha. yeah..."

Just imagine the situation I'd be in if I told both of them about Ben...
