Chapter 7

<B> Olivia's P.O.V. </B>

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Michaela and I are startled out of sleep by a blood curdling scream. We rush over to find the source of the noise.

On the beach we see two figures, one trying to run away the other chasing them. Letting my heart control me, I rush over to help the person who is being chased.

As I near, I can see its Carly, but who's the other person?

By the time I reach Carly, Aedan's at my side, "I'll make sure Carly's okay, you go see who that person is and what were they trying do." I tell him. I look back in see the others rushing towards us.

I grab Carly and wrap her in a big hug in effort to calm her, "Shh, you're safe now, Aedan's over there taking care of whoever was chasing you. Who was it?" I attempt to calm her down, but keep her talking to make sure the person didn't hurt her.

"I-I don't know, I just couldn't get to sleep so I went for a little walk and it felt like I was being watched so I looked around and I saw him chasing me? I don't know who it is though. I know it's a guy around our age though..."

I look over to see Aedan tackling the other man just as the rest of our group joins us. "Frankie, Mick, Kalyn and Andrew take Carly back to camp as make sure she's okay" I whisper to them making sure she can't her us, "Kamryn, Mikayla and Ashley and I will go help Aedan."

My group runs over to a struggling Aedan. "Kamryn go help Aedan hold that person down." Mikayla demands. Kamryn rushes over and the guys are able to pin him down with ease.

"Who are you?" I demand to the stranger.

"I-I am Brandon I was on a boat when it crashed. I've been looking for civilization when I saw that girl. I ran to catch up with her because I remembered her from the boat. I'm sorry that I startled her, I just wanted to talk to her..."

"It's okay and I'm sorry for tackling you. I thought you trying to hurt her." Aedan says a little embarrassedly.

"It's okay man, but can I get up now?" Brandon asks.

"Oh yeah sorry, Kam let him go." They release him and he stands up.

"Let's go head to camp!" Ashley exclaims, "My name's Ashley by the way!" Leave it to her to unawkwardize the situation, hey I should become a dictionary writer... no no focus o' smart one.

We head off to camp where Brandon apologizes to Carly and she willingly forgives him after hearing his story.

T"Okay guys we need to fix up the bed situation..." Kalyn says heartlessly cutting off our happy moment that we were able to find another survivor. "I refuse to sleep with nerd boy any longer. His equations are just too much!"

"Okay let's get this set straight once and for all... I think we have enough blankets collected for everyone to have their own bed, but we must sleep next to at least one person. Buddy up!" Carly says.

I buddy up with Michaela, Carly and Frankie, Aedan, Brandon and Kam, Mikayla and Andrew, Ashley and Kalyn. I feel bad that Ashley has to sleep next to Kalyn...

"Hey Ashley do you and Kalyn want to come sleep with us?" I ask, immediately I see her eyes light up.

"Eh, I think we're good by ourselves..." Kalyn states.

"No Kalyn you paired up with me and made us change our sleeping arrangements, you will sleep where I want to sleep." Ashley snaps. Oh my gosh I must remember to never get her on my bad side...

"Okay, okay take it easy already." Kalyn retorts not even phased by Ashley. They were not good people to be paired together with....

"Okay you guys are going to end up murdering each other..." I say, I hear Kalyn mutter something along the lines of "that idea isn't such a bad idea." Oh no...

"Ashley how about you go with Kam and Kalyn you go join Andrew and Mikayla. End. Of. Discussion." Carly demands. Thank goodness for Carly.

"Great I'm stuck with the love birds." Kalyn complains.

"You're going to sleep there whether you like it or not!" I say, this chick is going to annoy me to no end...

She looks at flips her hair in my face and goes off to join Mikayla and Andrew. Maybe they'll be able to handle her.

"Okay guys its late lets try to get some sleep." Kam calls in attempt to break up the tension. We all agree and move to our sleeping quarters.

After a little bit I drift off into a deep sleep...

<B> Ashley's P.O.V. </B>

I hear some rustling interrupting my dream so I rub my eyes and look towards the source of the noise... What I see scares me the most. It's a creature with fangs like the saber tooth tiger, wings like a hawk a body like a rhinoceros and the head of a polar bear. I back away slowly, but unfortunately it notices and starts to come after me, I try to scream, but noise does not come out. It's advancing, it lunges and I try to dodge it, but I manages to bite my leg I see the blood and scream. This time someone hears me, I hear a growl and everything goes black...

<B> Mikayla's P.O.V. </B>

I hear a scream and I immediately grab a knife I had hidden in my luggage mad run to the source of the scream. Immediately I see this awful creature. One thought goes through my mind... Where the actual are we? I keep running from my years off intensive training as I near I see a chunk off Ashley's leg is missing and she's losing consciousness. The beast this time is going in for the kill. I use all my strength and run as fast as I can. I reach the beast jump on its back and stab it as much as I can as much as I can as often as I can. It tries to shake me off its back, but I hold on the beast will not die... I swings at me and claws me in the stomach I shriek in pain and fall off its back. Once I'm off it makes a beeline towards the woods. Instantly I feel sick as I fall I feel a pair of arms catch me.

"How's Ashley?" I ask. She's so nice and she is kind to everyone. She doesn't deserve to die. If anyone it should be me....

"She keeps mumbling something about a Carl." Andrew says, I guess that's who must've caught me. It suddenly clicks...

<B> Flashback </B>

"Agent 301 we need you to eliminate a person, they've found out our operation." My commander tells me

"Yes sir, who is it?" I ask.

"Carl McCormick"

<B> End of Flashback </B>

What have I done, I have killed a family member to the most selfless girl I know... Everything goes black. Leaving my thoughts to destroy me...
