Mick's P.O.V.

It's morning again and we've been on the island a couple days now. We are running low on water, very low. As I start to wake up most people are up, I am not a morning person. I am not one of those picture perfect morning people. As I wake up, I do a very attractive yawn and I grunt. Well that was pleasant. Eh, oh well it doesn't matter.

"Help! Help someone help me!" A voice calls from the woods. I look around everyone else is gone off somewhere else, probably to the campfire.

I quickly get up and run off towards the woods

"Help me hurry! They're hurting me!" They call out again. I don't recognize the voice but I can't stand the idea of anyone getting hurt. I head off in a full sprint towards the voice.

"Help me!" They call off again the voice sounds very, very close, like the persons right next to me.

I look around and suddenly I hear rustling in the bushes. I look towards the source of noise and suddenly I feel someone hit me in the head. Hard. Everything goes black.

Mikayla's P.O.V.

"Have you guys seen Mick?" Olivia ask.

We all shake her heads. "No I thought she was still asleep." Ashley replies.

"She's not there anymore I just checked and I called her name there was no response!" Olivia starts freaking out.

"Okay maybe she wondered off into the woods I'll go look for her. My tracking skills are unfortunately the sharpest." I say, muttering the last sentence.

"I'll go with you, we still don't know what's in the forest it's not safe in their by yourself." Aedan states end of discussion.

"Fine." I huff, "just remember its dangerous in there"

"I know and that's why I'm coming." He smirks. Show off.

"I-I want to come to." an unsure Andrew stutters. Oh the poor boy.

"No Andrew it's fine. Aedan and I will go. You stay here and look after the other girls." I demand. He nods grateful that he doesn't have to go into the woods. Andrew is also not the most graceful and that is the most essential skill for tracking. Especially god forbid Mick is in danger.

"I'm coming and you're not stopping me." Max says. I know this is his way of contributing to the group. Plus, we could use his strength.

"Fine, but no one else can come. Lets get going before it gets any later." And with that we decide to go to the sleeping quarters. Immediately, I pick up her tracks and they head start towards the woods.

"Strange..." I say.

"What is?" Aedan asks.

"Her tracks show that she went running into the woods, but then they stop," I show the sudden halt marks, " then they the tracks show that she took off in a full out sprint... This could be more serious then we thought. Lets go grab a weapon just to be safe." I say. Only a few of the people know where the knives are stored. I pretty sure it's only Aedan (for hunting), now Max, Carly (for medical purposes) and me.

Once we are armed we head back to Mick's tracks and we take off at a sprint following her tracks. As we reach the end of them, it looks like there's been a struggle and there are an extra pair of footsteps.

Oh. No. I look and see only one shuffled pair of footstep, they look like they were carry a heavy load...

I look at Aedan and Max and even with their limited tracking skills, they seem to have caught on. We all nod in silent agreement to look for Mick and we take off at a full sprint.

From my estimate, it's about lunch time. To confirm my suspicions I hear on of the boys stomachs

make a really strange noise. I look back chuckling to see a very red faced Max.

"Hey don't blame me I'm hungry." He states. I guess it's time for a lunch break.

I pull out of the backpack I brought some trail mix and dried fruit and little water bottles. I had found from the wreckage. We quickly eat and head off on the attackers trail again.

Not long after, the tracks take a sudden veer toward a HUGE tree that would put even the Redwood Forest in California to shame. Almost simultaneously, all three of us look up and there in the vines we find Michaela looking limp like a rag doll.

"O-Oh. My. God. This was not supposed to happen!" I am to shocked to comprehend. Aedan comes over and places a comforting hand on my shoulder. He gives Max a glance.

Max somehow understanding the meaning of the glance, scales the tree in no time. Wow that's a surprise and a very useful talent. At first hesitantly he starts taking untangling her. After a couple minutes she is completely free and he makes his way down the tree with her slung across his shoulder.

As he joins us again I get the courage to ask, "I-is she d-d-dead?"

"No she's barely breathing though. We must get her back to Carly fast!" Maybe we have underestimated the brains of this guy.

We rush back as fast as we can with Michaela. The poor girl is already bruising from the attackers handling and the vines she was hanging from. And she all scratched up as well. She have a very deep gash on her right cheek and there's blood all over her body. Her breaths sound labored and she's making quite an effort to remain consciousness, but unfortunately she's losing.

"Hurry guys, I know you're trying, but we got to go faster." I request. They had insisted of taking turns carrying her bridal style deciding it to be the fastest way.

We finally reach the clearing and I yell to Carly. I see her followed by the rest of our camp in a full sprint. The minute she sees Mick's body I see tears well up in her eyes.

"Wha-what happened?" she stammers.

"We. found. her. hanging. from. a. large. tree. suspended. like. a. rag. doll. tangled. in. the. vines." Aedan replies breathlessly and still in shock from the trauma.

"O-okay bring her to the medical tent and I'll see what I can do. Her condition is critical so I can only have one person in there helping me. Given the circumstances I think Bridget will be the most helpful." Carly says regaining her composure so try and calm everyone. Bridget looks stun that Carly would want her help, but follows willingly.

"Max can you bring her to the tent please?" I ask. He nods and the rest of us follow.

After setting her on the makeshift medical table Aedan and Kamryn made the second we were here. Unfortunately it has been of great use. Carly then proceeds to quite literally push Max out of the tent and close it off so no one could see inside.

Aedan not being able to bear the wait took Max to the edge of the woods to make some surprise prosthetic something or other to help Ashley saying as her leg injury is just about healed. He only told Max and I so he can be sure to surprise her. Those two act like sister and brother, it's adorable.

Carly comes out with Bridget looking very flustered with tear streaked faces.

"We-we have some awful news and some scary news which would you like to hear first?" Carly asks.

"Awful news first." Olivia says. We all know she is close to her. Her eyes are brimming with unshed tears.

"Michaela's not going to make the night." Carly says breaking into hysterics. Olivia immediately collapses to the ground in body wracking sobs.

Aedan being the fatherly figure of the groups sits by Olivia and convinces her to go keep Michaela company after Carly tells us the awful news. He tells her he must be strong for Michaela's sake. She nods in understanding and gets up off the ground.

Carly starts, "Okay guys, scratched on Mick's stomach was a warning it read, 'LET HER SERVE AS YOUR WARNING! GET OFF THIS ISLAND!' That means we are not the only ones on the island or... One of us are a traitor..."
