Chapter 9

<B> Ashley's P.O.V. </B>

No, no no! This can't be happening! I must still be dreaming. Yeah, that's right there was no beast, I still have my leg, Carl's not dead and I'm still safe at home, right? It's some nightmare and I'll wake up any minute from it.

"I'm am so sorry, there was nothing I could do..." Mikayala's voice calls out. Okay. I am NOT dreaming and this chick is going to die now!

I attempt to lunge, but suddenly a pair of strong arms is holding my off of her. I try again and I look my chair is on the ground and two pairs of arms are holding me down.

"Ash don't do anything you're going to regret. Don't sink to that level, good things never come from revenge." Kamryn tries to reason.

"She murdered my brother she killed him." I lunge once more.

"Don't hurt her she saved your life, Ash, " he tries reasoning again. "It'll be okay we're here for you, you can tell us what happened."

At that I break and sobs start wracking my body. Aedan and Kam pick me up and move me away from Mikayla who is now sobbing just as hard as I am. They set me down and I pull them into a hug to explain my story.

"I-I was working late one night and when I got back to my apartment and I saw police and ambulance lights going off in front of my apartment," I start, "I try to rush inside to make sure Carl's okay when a police officer stops me to ask if I was Ashley McCormick. I say yes and they told me my neighbor a cat lady had heard some loud banging noises coming from my apartment so she called the police. They arrived five minutes later and found my brother with a broken neck in a tub full of water, dead. There were no finger prints and no sign of struggle whoever did it to him was a professional." I choke out and the boys just stare at me with looks of utter fear and shock before they quickly regain their composure and wrapping my in a hug.

This simple action made me realize a few things... Aedan and Kam are like my brother Carl and I love them and will not be able to live without them. If someone harms them that person WILL pay dearly.

"I love you guys so much even though I have not known you long. I don't what I'd do without you two." I manage to choke out, but what they say next surprises my the most...

"We love you too Ash and Mikayla will pay for hurting you. We are family now." Aedan says and Kamryn nods his head in agreement. They care about me they really do like me...

"We should go tell the others to be wary of you know who." I tell the boys they agree. They lift me up and go off to find the others.

<B> Andrew's P.O.V. </B>

"Mi-Mikayla you're not planning on killing me right?" I ask, in all seriousness I am terrified.

"No! That day I swore I would never hurt someone again. It was awful and I've never been able to get over it." She replies.

"Then why did you do it?" I question daring to go a little further in the details.

"I worked for a secret agency since I was 15. They said I had a natural talent. I was a spy. I did it because my family needed the money and it was the only job I could get. My mother was too ill to have a stable job, my father left when I was five and my sister was too young to work. I never meant to have to kill someone. One day however, the agency said Carl McCormick had discovered us and he had to go. They said if I refused to do the mission my family would take his place. I had to do it. " she cried I nodded my head in understanding. I got it if they threatened the life of my family no matter how cruel they were they were still family and I would've done the same thing.
