Chapter 8

<B> Ashely's P.O.V. </B>

Oh.Flapkacks. What the fudgenuggets does my leg hut so bad! I think to myself.

"Oh good you're finally awake, and some monster ate part of your leg off if you were wondering..." Carly said in a complete carefree way. Dang, did I really say that out loud, I have a tendency to do that. Nothing has really sunk in yet, I'm still a little drowsy.

I give her a quizzical look and she breaks out into hysterics... What is going on? "Ithoughtyoyweren'tgoingtomakeit.Itriedeverythingamditwouldn'twork.Iamsorryaboutyourleg,Ihadtoamputateitoryoudefinitelywoulnd'thavesurvived.I'msosorry!!!!!" She breaks her sentences barely coherent.

Then it hits me, the events last night rush back to my mind. I then take one look at my leg and hurl. They had to amputate from the knee down.

Right now though there is an even more important thought running through my mind... How am I still alive?

"Mikayla s-s-stabbed the beast and it r-r-ran away back into the forest." She sobbed.

Wait, what! "Oh my is she alright!!!!!!" I start tearing up.

"She woke up a couple hours ago, I was able to stitch her up fairly well. After that Andrew's taken very good care of her." She says wriggling her eyebrows. I giggle, feeling slightly better that she's alive.

"Could you please get her for me, saying as," I look down at where my leg should've been, " you know..." I still couldn't bring myself to say it yet.

"Um... Sure, but you're going to have to go to her because if she moves to much her stitches could open..." She says.

Wait where did she get stitches and how long have I been out????

"Stomach and 16 hours..." She says. Darn it I'm thinking out loud again.

"Kam and Aedan built a chair they can carry you around in... If you don't mind that. They said you are so light them two alone have no troubles carrying you. Aedan could carry you by himself, but the chair is a bit bulking to accommodate your current situation..." She mumbles the last part a little.

"I'm okay, if they're okay with the sight of this," I say motioning my leg area "I'm fine with being carried around like an Egyptian goddess." I exclaim doing my signature princess wave causing Carly to chuckle.

"You nut!" She has an addiction to that statement I swear.

"I do not! Any way I'm going to go get your servant boys haha!" Oops I really need to stop thinking its really going to hurt me!

"Okay thanks for everything Carly! It means a lot." I say before she leaves, she gives a small nod and runs off to grab the boys.

<B> Mikayala's P.O.V. </B>

The guilt is killing me I have to tell her, no I can't she'll hate me.

I look up just in time to see Aedan and Kamryn bringing her in my view. I break into tears. "Ashley!!!!! I'm so glad you made it. I don't know wha-" I'm interrupted.

"Hush, if someone says that same flap jacking sentence again, I think I may eat them." She says with a completely straight face. I look at her with utter shock that girl is so random at the weirdest times...

"Thanks for saving me by the way, I owe you one." She says after her random outburst. The boys just looked a her chuckling and shaking their heads. After she said that though, I felt extremely guilty. I HAD to tell her it was now or never...

"Ash, I have to tell you something..." I trail off.

"Yeah?" She asks not catching on that something is amiss.

"I killed Carl... I'm so sorry." I break out crying. All is silent and in shock...
