I'm galloping across the meadow almost at the forest. I love going hunting and riding Jenny. 3 hours later I've finished my hunting and I'm returning home. I see a crack through the trees where the meadows are. My house is gone, all that's left is ashes. I jump off my horse and leave the animal skins on the ground. I run to the barn as fast as I can. Maybe everyone made it to the barn. I open the doors all that's there are my siblings.
"Mom! Dad!" I scream

Both twins are crying. I wake up. The twins were crying in real life. King was yanking on Lilna's braid hence the crying.
"Mommy" King whines impatiently. "Dada" Lilna cries.
I'm not used to my siblings having names. After all it's only been a month since their 2nd birthday. Our village has a rule, you name your child on their 2nd birthday which also happened to be the day my parents died. Anyways, I think while I sigh and hop out of bed. Time to make breakfast for 2 hungry little bellies and me. I go and milk Majestic while I think about what happened to mom and dad. It just doesn't make sense.

I need to know what happened to my parents. Tomorrow we will ride into town on Bob. I work through my chores thinking only about tomorrow.I wake up. Aww both siblings are asleep on the hay. I tip toe away from my hay bale and race down the later. I let the horses outside and milk Majestic. Tomorrow I will go into town. The twins will sleep for another hour at least. I open up the stall door that leads to Jenny. I already let her out so she could have gone as far as the forest, but instead she is laying in the snow. I clap than bang my bows and arrows together. That is her sign to come.

Today we will go hunting. I need meat to keep us going. Even something small like a rabbit or grouse. But I prefer something bigger, perhaps a deer or bear. Currently to stay alive its the bigger the better. I freeze and so does Jenny. I see a deer curiously peek out from behind a tree. From his stance he can't see us. I slowly bring my bow up and aim. His ears perk and he looks around. Once again I'm frozen. My fingers are in position. I let go. (Whistle)...(thud) The beautiful beast falls to the ground. Though I still and continue to hate killing animals. But with mom and dad here it was help. Now it is a must to survive.
