I wake up. King is still sleeping and Lilna is playing with an old rag doll I found in the storage area. She has named her doll "Anne". I look at my kill from yesterday, turn around and descend the latter. Majestic is happily waiting to get fed along with both horses. I milk majestic and get Bob ready. today is the day I will go into town (or in my case the village.)Grabbing the milk I pour some for my siblings. I quikly cook the meat so we will have some later. Peeking into the loft I see that King is still sleeping, perfect. I race down the ladder and find some blankets. After what seems like forever I move some stuff around rope is found. Upstairs two sets of feet are pattering around. King is awake. I have found everything I need and a bit extra.
King and Lilna are fed and I have packed some food for the way. On a normal day horse back would take about an half hour. But its winter and Bob will be carying 3 people ,two who will either be jumpy or sleep, plus Bob is an older horse. With all these factors workin aginst us the best we can hope for is 2 hours. Quickly my siblings are bundled. Lilna in front me in the middle and King in the back. They will be tied to me as well as Bob. Double checking the stall doors for Jenny and Majestic are closed that the chickens and Jack in the barn we finally leave. Almost immeadiatly Lilna falls asleep and King, well King is just looking around wide eyed.
2 hours later. We make it into our...village?All I see are ashes of our village scattered. But then I feel a prickle up my spine and quickly get chills. I know this feeling. (Something is watching me.)Eyes green blue brown and all in between are watching me. I discreetly but quickly knock a arrow in my bow. But then something behind me quietly whimpers. Slowly I turn around. Laying there is a 6 month or so year old baby. He starts crying. The eyes are watching wondering what I will do. Carefully and gently I pick up the baby. The eyes look tense waiting for my next move. I grab the bottle of milk from inside the blankets wrapped on my siblings. Opening the lid I put it in his mouth. Speedily fast the eyes become children who are running at me.
"Wait" calls the girl in the front.
She seems to be the leader. Baggy ripped clothing that are coloured in ash hang in burnt shreds around her frail yet strong body. Her copper blonde hair and green eyes make her seem out of place, as if a palace is her home not a tiny village in the middle of a forest. Every one looks at her and freezes."Don't move"she says as she saunters up to me.
The girl looks at the crowd of ragged clothing and shouts.
"Do not touch this girl give her peace". And then turning to me she whispers "I must talk to you privately."
I'm so stunned I don't know what to say. We walk in towards the woods. "Please my siblings." I say.
"Don't worry my friends will watch them". She responds.
Cautiously I turn around. We found 2 big rocks beside a stream, it is a mere 5 minutes away from the others. We can still see them. All of a sudden I'm being shaken.
Tears are streaming down her face. "What ,yes" What is it, I'm sorry what did I do?" I ask worried I'd caused this. For a second she has the tiniest smile but it disappears quickly.
"No not you" she responds.
"But please help us."
