"You should get some sleep, you look exhausted honey." Jenn flatly commented once we had gotten inside of the car.

I nodded simply, my eyes dropping drastically. Apparently shopping was more tiring than what I had realized.

"I'm kind of-kind of tired..." Trailing off.

"Go to sleep." Patting my knee.

The truck revved to life, the tires screeching. My head curled up within the seat, numbness overtaking my body. The world began to fade a bit more, and before I had known it, everything went black.

~~

"Ryan honey, can you carry Aurora back inside. She's out cold." I faintly heard.

My seatbelt unclicked, my eyes refused to open.

Suddenly a pair of strong arms wrapped around my lifeless body. I felt my weight lifted up from the cars seat as warmth overwhelmed me. Immediately my head cradled within the strong chest, and everything stiffened around me. Then they relaxed, and I was floating through the air, carried inside softly.

It smelled like pine. The breeze sharp through my nose as I inhaled the scent. My body suddenly was laid out across something soft, and covers engulfed me as I was wrapped within sheets and quilts. I snuggled against the materials.

Then a pair of lips touched my forehead, saying goodnight and walking out of the room.

I would miss these nights.

I let sleep overtake me again, except it wasn't as peaceful as the first time.

In the dream I was running for my life. My lungs burned and my thighs stung with each shot of adrenaline pumping through my body.

I was in the woods, fleeing.

The sky was black and hazed with a thickening fog through the air It made me squint as I ran. Rain began to pour, the forest drenched in a brutal downpour.

I kept running, sprinting as fast as I could. Everything kicked into survival within my brain, screaming at me to keep going to keep running away for my life.

Yet I tripped over a root.

"There she is!"

"You're in for a worse fate than before."

They snatched me, pulling me up from the ground and yanking me from behind.

"No!" I screamed.

"Shut up!" They proclaimed.

Lightening cracked from above, thunder booming and shaking the earth beneath my feet.

"No! Help! Help!" I thrashed and began kicking.

A slap went across my face, earning a cry in pain as I was dragged from the forest. Another kick went to my stomach, making me wail and their job easier.

"No!" I screamed in pain. "Anyone."

Slap! Another crash of thunder.

"Aurora!" As my body was suddenly shaken.

"Don't hurt me anymore!" I cried out.

"Aurora!" Making my eyes open.

Ryan was above me, holding me down in place as I trembled. A sob escaped my throat, it felt so real. My covers were splayed in every direction, the sheets tossed over and turned.
