To be honest I had no idea how to end this after so long, I kept putting it off so I didn't have to deal with the realisation this is the end.

one week later

This week is my week to have Christian which isn't that bad as our lawyers have come to the agreement that we take turns each week.

We haven't really spoken of that night and both still equal respect each other with limited words being discussed. Very very few.

I've finally come to a time where I can be content and deal with the marriage failure but it isn't like I can say I didn't try.

There is a knock at the door and as I check the cameras it's Vanessa, Cameron's intern.

"Hey hun." I smile as she passes me Christians stuff and hands him over.

"Another week and I'll be back." She tells me.

Vanessa knows how tough it is and was for me. She is probably the nicest and loyal employee he has. Vanessa was always there to witness our fights and disagreements when we had but always gave us our privacy. The impact of this joint custody on me is tough to say the less and she is the only one that is compassionate to me.

"Bye." I wave kissing Christians head and waving her off.

"Oh! Cameron is behind me with the divorce papers." She has an apologetic smile on her face as she walks towards the car.

I place Christian in his room and set his monitor on as I leave him to sleep before I race over to the mirror and try to tidy my appearance. The news that he is coming shocks me his lawyer is the only one I have communication with over the papers.

"You signed?" A voice booms and its a sound that has been missed from these walls.

I turn to see Cameron in a navy tight suit standing with his tie around his neck and shirt unbuttoned. He looks flushed and has his barriers up, as always.

"W-what?" I stutter.

"You signed the divorce papers!" He says slower as if I am dumb.

"Well that is what you wanted! Didn't you sign?" I reply.

"No of course I didn't." He states.

Uh what? I'm so speechless and shocked I don't even know what to say.

"Okay now I'm confused. This was your idea remember?"

He seems speechless as he takes his time searching for words.

"Didn't actually think you would sign?" He mutters.

Cameron takes off his jacket and takes a seat on the couch and holds his head in his hands.

I stand completely still confused and looking between Cameron and the door before making my way towards him and sitting on the ornament in front of the couch .

"Are you err okay?" I question concussion clear as I have no idea what to say or act in front of Cameron.

"Do I look okay?" He turns the question around on me.

"It was just a question." I roll me eyes.

His eyes snap to mine and they are dark, "I'm surprised they haven't fallen out and proves how well you listen to what I used to tell you."

"Proves your still demanding and controlling after all these years even when we are by together." I bicker back.

"I wouldn't have to be such a freak if you just listened to me." Cameron groans standing up and steps closer to me.
