The Meet and Greet

I enter the room with sweaty palms expecting to immediately meet Lana; however, I find it empty. Where is Lana? Or Chuck for that matter? At first glance, I notice that the room is fairly basic. The walls are red with few decorations. There is a leather couch, two arm chairs, a coffee table, a mini fridge, a vanity, a closet, and what appears to be the door to a bathroom. "Hello?" I ask unsure. "Hey, I'll be out in a minute!" Lana replies. I shrug and find myself nervously pacing around the room. I need to find something to seem more casual. I'll sit on the couch or something. I don't want to be too casual, though, or that may appear rude. No wait, I've got it! I'll just sit in a chair until she comes out and then I'll stand and greet her when she comes in. Yeah, that's what I'll do! I take a seat and anxiously shake my legs back and forth. The anticipation is killing me. What will she be like? What do I do or say? Will she like me? My thoughts and heart are racing.

The bathroom door opens. There she is, in the flesh. "Hi there" she says with a big smile walking towards me. "Hi!" I stutter as I rise from the chair. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Cait, right?" she asks while grabbing me into a tight hug. Oh my god. "Yes, it is. It's quite an honor to meet you, as well." I say as we break the hug. As I pull away, I notice that she smells of flowers and cigarettes. A strange, yet lovely scent. "You were incredible tonight!" I exclaim. She blushes. "Oh, stop. Thank you, that is very sweet of you to say." I am shocked by her modesty. You can tell that she loves the compliment, but is also a bit embarrassed by it. "Have a seat" she says grabbing my hand and leading me over to the couch. As she sits, she reaches for a lighter and box of Marlboro's lying on the coffee table. "Want one?" she asks with a smirk. "No, I'm fine. Thank you, though." My mind is racing. What should I say next?

I observe her as she slowly sticks the tip of the cigarette in between her plush lips. She raises the lighter and strikes it with ease. She inhales closing her eyes. "So, where are you from Cait?" she asks exhaling. "Here -- well, not here. I'm from Richmond, Virginia. It's about two hours from here." "Oh awesome! I've never been to Richmond, but I've heard it's great." "Yeah, it's pretty cool, I guess," laughing, "I've lived there for awhile now so it seems pretty boring to me." She laughs taking another puff of her cigarette. I am fascinated with her smoking. It is both intriguing and arousing. "Yeah, I felt that way when I was younger. That's why I moved to New York; I needed a change of scenery. How old are you?" I try to be funny asking, "well, how old do you think I am?" "Hmm...I want to say 21." "Nope, actually I'm 19, good guess though!" "I was close!" she says with a smile. At this point her cigarette dies down and she stops smoking. "Are you hungry?" she asks. "Actually, yeah, I'm starving! I haven't eaten anything since lunch around 4." "Oh, perfect! I ordered some pizza not too long ago so it should be here soon. Would you like something to drink?" she asks making her way over to the mini fridge. "Um, yeah! I'll take whatever you're having." She comes back with two Pepsi's. "Here you are," as she hands me the cold can. "Thank you," I say cracking it open. We sit in silence for a few seconds. The tension in the room is high. To avert attention I begin conversation. "How are you liking the tour so far?" "Oh, I'm having the best time. I've been blessed with amazing venues and places. My fans are also the greatest, so they make it all worth it." She then goes on to talk about certain places and memories she has enjoyed on the tour. God, I could listen to her talk for days.

As we continue the conversation and getting to know each other, there is a knock on the door. "I'll get it," Lana says with a smile heading towards the door. It's the pizza. She sweetly thanks the deliverer and shuts the door. "Hope you're hungry!" she says cutely. "I'm starving, but should we wait for Chuck?" She laughs. "Oh, no. Chuck already went back to the hotel. She wasn't feeling well." "Oh, I'm sorry. Please tell her I hope she feels better!" She smiles, "I will. Now let's eat!" We continue conversation as we dig in. She asks about my past, my current endeavors, and my aspirations. I give her a brief life run-down. As I talk, she listens intently. She actually cares and you can see that. We then start reminiscing over our rebellious high school days. We laugh after concluding we both had similar wild adventures. Her laugh begins to fade. "So, are you in town for long?" she asks coyly. "I was planning to drive back to Richmond tonight actually. I kinda spent all my money on the tickets so I didn't have enough for a hotel, too." I say slightly embarrassed. "Oh, well, if you're not busy, I wouldn't mind renting you a room for the night!" I'm shocked. What did she just say? She wants me to STAY? Why does she want me to stay? "Wow, that would be great!" I say as a smile appears on her face. As much as I am excited over this gesture, my curiosity gets the best of me. "If you don't mind me asking, why exactly do you want to do that? I'm sorry if that seems rude asking, but --" "Oh, no it's fine! I understand. It's just that it is getting kinda late and I worry about you making the drive back alone in the dark." she says with a concerned face. How sweet. God, she really does care about her fans. "Oh my gosh, that's so incredibly sweet of you. I'm honored you care that much." "Of course I care! I wouldn't want anything to happen to you." I smile. "Well thank you, I will take you up on that offer!" How incredible is she? She's beautiful inside AND out?! She really is perfect.

For another half an hour or so we continue talking and laughing. Suddenly Lana says: "It's getting kinda late, are you ready to head back to the hotel? I have a car waiting for us whenever we're ready." "Oh, yeah, that sounds great!" We get off the couch and I help her gather her things from around the room. Amongst the room are numerous flowers and gifts from fans. "Wow, you sure do have a lot of admirers!" She smiles, "I told you; my fans are the best!" Right then and there I wanted to profess my love for her -- tell her everything that she means to me and what her music has meant to me since I discovered it years ago; but, this isn't the time or place. I don't know why, but it just doesn't feel right to do it here or now. "You ready?" she asks shutting off the bathroom light. "Yup, I'm all ready here!" We exit the room with our hands full. As soon as we enter the hallway, someone is waiting to carry the things for us. As we hand over her multiple belongings, she turns to me and says, "I always feel bad having people carry my things. They always ask and I hate to say 'No, you can't touch my things,' but I also feel like a spoiled brat for saying yes." I respond, "Hey, no judgement here. If I had the chance, I would take full advantage of it. Don't worry, you don't need to explain yourself to me." She seems relieved as she shows me a warm smile.

We arrive to the car and hop in the back seat together as the bag man and driver load the belongings into the car. It is a large, black SUV. It is a fairly normal car besides the fact that it has a divider between the back seat and front. 'I guess it's just for privacy,' I think to myself. Lana rolls down the tinted middle window instructing the driver to take us to the hotel. "It's only about fifteen minutes away," she says while rolling the window back up. As she does this, I notice "Time of the Season" by the Zombies begin to play from the speakers. "I love this song!" I turn to her and proclaim excitedly. "Me too. It's always been a favorite of mine." She says with a smirk.  "God, I am so excited to sleep. I can't imagine how exhausted you must be after that amazing show you put on." She laughs, "yeah, I am tired, but I really have really enjoyed talking to you." As she says this she scoots closer. "I appreciate you coming and hanging out with me," she says mere inches away from my face. I can feel her breath on my skin. I gulp. "Are you kidding? It's my pleasure! Honestly, I never dreamed in a million years I would meet someone as amazing and talented as y--" I am interrupted by Lana's lips. She grabs my head and pulls it closer to hers. At first I am stunned. WHAT THE FUCK?! SHE JUST KISSED ME?! WHAT DO I DO?! She pulls away slowly, shooting me a seductive look as to see if I enjoyed that. She's so beautiful and, while I know it's wrong, it feels so right. I grab her and pull her in for another kiss. Her lips are incredibly soft. She delicately places small kisses on my mouth. I begin to feel aroused and the kisses escalate. She slides her tongue into my mouth as I reciprocate with mine. We gently massage each other's tongues, while also fighting for dominance. God, she's a great kisser. As we continue, things start to heat up. I feel her hands begin to wander down my body. Her sharp fingernails move gradually from my neck to my chest. She softly cups my breasts and begins sucking on my neck. It feels incredible. Her kisses begin to go lower as she moves from my neck to my chest. She slips the strap of my tank top and bra off to gain access. She gently pulls my right boob out of my bra and begins rubbing it in a circular motion. As she does this, she stares intensely into my eyes and bites her lower lip. I lose it. I abruptly grab her and kiss her hard. I begin biting her lip and kiss up and down her neck. My hands wander down to her breasts and, just as I am about to pull her shirt up, the car stops. We are at the hotel. Shit.
